Jason Corey Gardner [1] (born November 14, 1980) is an American retired professional basketball player and currently a player relations director at the University of Arizona. [2]
Gardner is a native of Indianapolis, Indiana, playing his high school ball at North Central High School. He was honored at Indiana Mr. Basketball in 1999. The 5 ft 10 in point guard then starred at Arizona from 1999 to 2003. His team finished second place in the 2001 NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament, losing to Duke University. As a senior in 2003, Gardner was named an Associated Press Second Team All-American after averaging 14.8 points and 4.9 assists per game. His college jersey number was retired by the University of Arizona in 2005.
Gardner was not drafted by the NBA, but found success overseas. He played in Slovenia, Belgium, and Israel, and with EWE Baskets Oldenburg in Germany. He was a 2x All-Star in Germany, appearing in the Basketball Bundesliga's All-Star Game in 2007, and starting for the Northern All-Star Team in the Basketball Bundesliga's All-Star Game in 2009. He was also named 2008/2009 regular season MVP of the German Basketball Bundesliga. For the season he averaged 13.7 points 4.0 assists and 3.0 rebounds on shooting 40.8% from the field 37.5% from three-point range and 82.9% from the line. He recorded a season high of 25 points against the Telekom Baskets Bonn. Gardner led his team to a 25–9 record finishing third in the regular season.
In 2011, Gardner joined the coaching staff of Loyola University Chicago. Gardner left Loyola to join Josh Pastner's staff at the University of Memphis in the summer of 2013.
After just one season with Memphis, Gardner was named the head coach at IUPUI. [3] Gardner was arrested for driving while impaired by Fishers, Indiana police on Aug 26, 2019 and resigned his coaching position the next day. [4]
On August 12, 2020, nearly a year after resigning from IUPUI, Gardner was named the head coach of the North Central High School boys basketball team, returning to the school where he played his high school career. [5]
However, after just a year there, he accepted a player relations director at his alma mater, the University of Arizona.

Damon Lamon Stoudamire, nicknamed Mighty Mouse, is an American college basketball coach and former player who is currently the head coach for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). The 5 ft 10 in (1.78 m), 171 lb (78 kg) point guard was selected with the 7th overall pick by the Toronto Raptors in the 1995 NBA draft and won the 1995–96 NBA Rookie of the Year Award. He played collegiately at the University of Arizona, and professionally for the Toronto Raptors, Portland Trail Blazers, Memphis Grizzlies and San Antonio Spurs.

Casey Gardner Jacobsen is an American retired professional basketball player who played four seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He also had an extensive European basketball career, mostly while playing with Brose Baskets Bamberg, in Germany. With Brose, he won the Bundesliga championship in 2007 and 2010, while also receiving the German League Finals MVP award. He won Bundesliga championships in 2011, 2012, and 2013. He also won the German Cup with Bamberg, in 2010, 2011, and 2012, and the German Supercup four times. Following his retirement in 2014, Brose Baskets retired his jersey number 23.
Damon Bailey is an American former professional basketball player. He rose to national prominence after being recruited by Indiana coach Bob Knight as an 8th grader, an unusual move at the time. Bailey went on to become Indiana's all-time high school leading scorer and would earn All-America honors playing for the Indiana Hoosiers. He became a cult figure during the late 1980s and early 1990s in Indiana. Bailey was an assistant coach of the Butler University's women's basketball team from 2014 to 2017.

The Utah Utes men's basketball team, also known as the Runnin' Utes, represents the University of Utah as an NCAA Division I program that plays in the Pac-12 Conference. They play their home games at the Jon M. Huntsman Center. The school has made the NCAA tournament 29 times, which ranks 20th in NCAA history and tied for third most appearances behind UCLA and the University of Arizona in the Western United States. They last made the tournament in 2016. Utah won the NCAA Championship in 1944, defeating Dartmouth College 42–40 for the school's only NCAA basketball championship. However, the school also claims the 1916 AAU National Championship, which was awarded after winning the AAU national tournament. They have also won the NIT once, defeating Kentucky in 1947. In 1998, the Utes played in the NCAA championship game, losing to Kentucky.

Richard Barton "Mickey" McConnell is an American former professional basketball player and current assistant coach for the Saint Mary's Gaels of the West Coast Conference. He played college basketball at Saint Mary's College of California. In 2011, he was named West Coast Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Year. McConnell was drafted in 31st round of the 2011 MLB First Year Player Draft by the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Daniel Theis is a German professional basketball player for the Indiana Pacers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). After seven seasons in the Basketball Bundesliga where he was a four-time All Star and three-time champion, Theis signed with the Boston Celtics of the NBA where he played for four seasons before a trade brought him to the Chicago Bulls in March 2021. The Bulls traded Theis to the Houston Rockets in August 2021, who in turn traded Theis back to the Celtics in February 2022, before being traded to the Indiana Pacers in July 2022. Melvyn J. Garland was an American basketball coach and player. Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, he emerged as a star dual-sport athlete in basketball and baseball at Arsenal Technical High School. Garland attended Purdue University and played for the Boilermakers on the basketball and baseball teams. He was a member of all-conference teams in both sports but excelled at basketball, where he was an Honorable Mention All-American during his junior season.
