Tinicum Township, also known as Tinicum Island or The Island, is a township in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 4,091 at the 2010 census, down from 4,353 at the 2000 census. Included within the township's boundaries are the communities of Essington and Lester.
Rutgers University–Camden is one of three regional campuses of Rutgers University, a public land-grant research university consisting of four campuses in New Jersey. It is located in Camden, New Jersey. Founded in 1926 as the South Jersey Law School, Rutgers–Camden began as an amalgam of the South Jersey Law School and the College of South Jersey. It is located between 45th Street and 52nd Street, bounded by Market Street and Spruce Street. Most of the neighborhood is in the northwestern part of the University City District. It is located north of the neighborhoods of Garden Court and Spruce Hill.

The Philadelphia Fire Department provides fire protection and emergency medical services (EMS) to the city of Philadelphia. The PFD's official mission is to protect public safety by quick and professional response to emergencies and through the promotion of sound emergency prevention measures. This mandate encompasses all traditional firefighting functions, including fire suppression, with 58 Engine companies and 29 Ladder companies as well as specialty and support units deployed throughout the city; specialized firefighting units for Philadelphia International Airport and the Port of Philadelphia; investigations conducted by the Fire Marshal's Office to determine the origins of fires and to develop preventive strategies; prevention programs to educate the public in order to increase overall fire safety; and support services such as: research and planning, management of the Fire Communications Center within the City's 911 system, and operation of the Fire Academy.

The Philadelphia Art Alliance at University of the Arts was a multidisciplinary arts center located in the Rittenhouse Square section of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was the oldest multidisciplinary arts center in the United States for visual, literary and performing arts. In June 2024 the Alliance's parent institution, the University of the Arts, abruptly closed.
Robert E. Lamberton High School was an American high school located in the Overbrook Park section of Philadelphia. The school was closed in 2013 as part of Philadelphia's shutdown of 23 district-run schools. Displaced students were enrolled in Overbrook High School.
The Mann Center for the Performing Arts is a nonprofit performing arts center located in the Centennial District of Philadelphia's West Fairmount Park, built in 1976 as the summer home for the Philadelphia Orchestra. It is the successor in this role to the Robin Hood Dell outdoor amphitheater, where the Philadelphia Orchestra had given summer performances since 1935. It has since hosted artists and touring companies such as the American Ballet Theatre with Mikhail Baryshnikov, Marian Anderson, Leonard Bernstein, Buena Vista Social Club, Ray Charles, Judy Garland, the Metropolitan Opera, Mormon Tabernacle Choir, Paul Robeson, Itzhak Perlman, Lang Lang, Midori, and Yo-Yo Ma.

It was founded in 1949 as a middle school serving grades 7–9, becoming a high school in 2003. Universal Audenried Charter High School , formerly Charles Y. Audenried High School, is a high school servicing the Grays Ferry area of Philadelphia. The school was originally located at the Charles Y. Audenried Junior High School but was rebuilt in 2008. It was previously directly operated by the School District of Philadelphia. It is still a part of the district's system, and some South Philadelphia residences are assigned to Audenried.

The Samuel S. Fels High School is a district-run high school in Philadelphia. The school is named after Samuel Simeon Fels. It was founded in 1989 when the Samuel S. Fels Junior High School was restructured to have seventh through tenth grades, with the eleventh and twelfth grades to be added in 1990 and 1991. Melvin K. McMaster was the first principal of the high school. An $80 million building replaced the old facility in 2009.
Motivation High School is a district-run magnet high school in Southwest Philadelphia. Originally this was an annex of John Bartram High School for over three decades as Bartram Motivation. Subsequently, the school was located in the former Thomas Buchanan Read School before being moved to the John P. Turner Middle School building in 2013. Motivation is a liberal arts preparatory school.
