Paul R. "Paulie" Calafiore [1] (born November 13, 1988) [2] is an American television personality who has competed on season 18 of Big Brother , as well as multiple seasons of The Challenge. [3] [4] [5] He and his brother Cody Calafiore played in The Soccer Tournament in 2023. [6]

Early life and education

Paulie Calafiore was born in Howell Township, New Jersey, to Paul Jr. and Linda Calafiore. He attended Howell High School, where he says he was bulled, [7] [8] and later played on the soccer team while attending Rutgers University. [2] [9] [10] His brother is Cody Calafiore, the winner of season 22 of Big Brother. [11] [12] Paulie and Cody also have a sister. [1]

Career

Calafiore is a former professional soccer player. [13] He "had a brief spell" with the Colorado Rapids. [6] Calafiore and his brother played in The Soccer Tournament in 2023. [6] He is also a disc jockey, [14] a model, and a personal trainer. [2] Calafiore has appearance on multiple television series, including season 18 of Big Brother , season 1 of Ex on the Beach (2018), and multiple iterations of The Challenge: Final Reckoning (2018), War of the Worlds (2019), War of the Worlds 2 (2019), and USA (season 2, 2023).

Personal life

Calafiore lives in North Carolina. [2] He and Cara Maria Sorbello began dating in 2018, [15] [16] after meeting on The Challenge. [17] [18] [19] He came out as bisexual in 2023. [20] [21]

Calafiore plays the guitar, has practiced martial arts (particularly Krav Maga), [22] [23] and has trained in bobsledding. [24] [25] [26] Queerty has described him as a "fitness pro". [27]
