Gurukiran Shetty, known mononymously as Gurukiran, is an Indian music director of the Kannada film industry in India. He started his career as a music director of the Kannada movie A, directed and acted by Upendra. His music for his next movie Upendra further consolidated his position in Kannada movie industry. He is a native of Mangalore and hails from Bunt Family. His mother tongue is Tulu. Govindaya Namaha is a 2012 Indian Kannada language comedy drama film directed by debutante Pawan Wadeyar. The film was released on 30 March 2012 across cinema halls. It stars Komal Kumar, Anna Georgia, Madhulika, Rekha Vedavyas and Parul Yadav in the lead roles. The music is composed by Gurukiran. This film is remade as Potugadu in Telugu. The movie was accused to be a copy of 2006 Kannada movie Avnandre Avne. However Karnataka Film Directors Association writer's wing set aside the allegations as far from truth.

Parul Yadav is an Indian actress who primarily appears in Kannada films. She made her acting debut with the Tamil film Dreams (2002). Potugadu (transl. Hero) is a 2013 Indian Telugu language film directed by Pavan Wadeyar. It is a remake of the 2012 Kannada film Govindaya Namaha, also directed by Wadeyar with starring Komal. It was produced by Sirisha and Sridhar under the Ramalakshmi Cine Creations banner. The film has four heroines, Sakshi Chowdhary, Simran Kaur Mundi, Rachel and Anupriya Goenka. Achu scored the music, and two tunes from the Kannada film - including the "Pyarge Aagbittaite" - were used in the Telugu version. The shooting was wrapped up in a single extensive schedule and the post-production work was simultaneously in progress. Reportedly Potugadu was going to be the biggest movie in terms of budget in Manoj's career. The film released on 14 September 2013 and was declared a 'semi-hit' at the box office.

Rana Vikrama is a 2015 Indian Kannada-language action thriller film directed by Pavan Wadeyar and produced by Jayanna Combines. The film stars Puneeth Rajkumar, Anupama Parameswaran and Rachita Ram, alongside P. Ravi Shankar, Prabhakar, Prakash Belawadi, Chikkanna, Sadhu Kokila, Achyuth Kumar and Avinash, with B. Saroja Devi in a guest appearance. The music was composed by D. Imman, while cinematography and editing were handled by Vaidy S and Mahesh S. Reddy.

Dollu is a 2022 Indian Kannada-language drama film written and directed by Sagar Puranik and produced by Pawan Wadeyar and Apeksha Purohit under the banner of Wadeeyar Movies. The film stars Karthik Mahesh, Nidhi Hegde, Chandra Mayura and Babu Hirannaiah.
