""Payback" basically was written a couple years ago. It's really kind of an intense song that goes back and forth between kind of anger and frustration for not really understandin' a lot of things in life, a lot of things that happen, a lot of things that people do to you that don't make sense or you wouldn't do to someone else. So it's really just about kind of coming full circle in your own mind, realizing that, you know, things are gonna happen, things are gonna be negative but, you know, everything kinda comes back in the end. You know. Kinda like karma. Everybody gets their payback for whatever happens. You know, I mean, not on a religious level but you know even just as far as, you know, bad deeds or something." [1]

The music video shows a woman (portrayed by Heidi Marnhout) waking up on a bed in the middle of a forest at night. As she steps out, she steps on a ground of worms. She runs trying to escape the forest and sees a man in a bath tub full of grub worms and sees a tree with the word "RUN" both capitalized and in blood. The female also gets chased by somebody who appears to be a ghost. In the end, she wakes up believing it was just a dream but her feet are covered in mud and there are worms all over and around her clock. The band are in the music video performing in a forest.
For Real is an American R&B and soul quartet, that formed in 1990. In the latter part of that decade they were nominated for a Billboard Music Award and a Soul Train Music Award. The ladies have now reunited and are touring.
Through the Eyes is the first major label studio album by the American nu metal band Flaw. The album was released on October 30, 2001, on Universal, Uptown and Republic Records. Described as nu metal, Through the Eyes has melodic vocals, aggressive guitar riffs, screaming, melodic instrumentation and lyrics drawn from the childhood and adolescence of vocalist Chris Volz, who dealt with his adoptive mother's suicide, rebellious behavior and a formerly troubled relationship with his father. Some songs were soft and melodic whereas some other songs were heavy and featured screaming. Lyrics often are about topics like Volz' adoptive mother's suicide, trauma, frustration and stoicism.
"Alive" is a song recorded by American entertainer Jennifer Lopez. It was written by Lopez, Cris Judd, and Cory Rooney for the Michael Apted-directed thriller, Enough (2002). Lopez stars in the film as Slim, a waitress who marries a wealthy contractor, and flees with their 5 year old daughter as he becomes increasingly abusive. While on the run, Slim, who discovers that her husband is following her, "trains herself for a final, violent confrontation". The producers of Enough wanted Lopez to write a new song for film, however, she felt as if it was not something that could be forced. In October 2001, while on their honeymoon, Judd played her a melody that he had written on the piano. Lopez thought that the melody was "really beautiful", and that it would be perfect fit for Enough. She incorporated the hardships that Slim went through in the film, as well as her own personal struggles, into the song's lyrics.
Tracie is the third and final studio album by R&B singer Tracie Spencer released on June 29, 1999. Flaw is an American nu metal band from Louisville, Kentucky, formed by guitarist Jason Daunt in 1996. After a string of rough independent recordings in the 1990s, the band signed to Republic and Universal Music Group and released two major label albums, Through the Eyes in 2001 and Endangered Species in 2004. Breakups, line-up changes, and internal strife plagued the band for the rest of the decade, though from 2015 to 2017, the band reformed with three of their core members to tour and write music. The band released their third studio album, Divided We Fall, in 2016, and a fourth studio album, Vol IV: Because of the Brave in 2019. An album of cover songs, Revival, was later released in 2022. The band's lineup frequently shifts; lead vocalist Chris Volz is the only constant member.

The song was initially written for their fourth studio album Odyssey Number Five; however, the band was requested to contribute a song to the soundtrack for the 2000 film Mission: Impossible 2. The band submitted three songs: "Whatever Makes You Happy", "Up & Down & Back Again" and "My Kind of Scene". With these submissions, Paramount Pictures decided to use "My Kind of Scene"; however, they decided to release the song as a promotional song for the film, and so changed the title to "My Kinda Scene" in Australia in fitting with the other promotional single for the film, Limp Bizkit's "Take a Look Around". The single was officially released in New Zealand where the song peaked at number 41.
"I've Seen It All" is a song recorded by Icelandic singer Björk for the Dancer in the Dark soundtrack, Selmasongs (2000). It was written by the singer, along with Sjón and Lars von Trier. It was released as the first promotional single from Selmasongs on 21 July 2000, by One Little Indian Records. The song features vocals from Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke.
