Peter von Gomm is an American voice actor. [1] He moved to Japan in 1999 and records television commercials, documentaries, video games and more for the Japanese and global market.

Career

Von Gomm worked for the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C., for 4 years as an exhibition designer and primarily did editorial designs for handicapped and audiobook narration. [2] In 1995, he moved to Japan to work as a voice actor and narrator in Tokyo. [2]

He has regularly done narrator work of Basic English 2, Practical Business English and Radio English Conversation Study of NHK Radio Courses. [2] He was an NHK World's news reporter. [2] He did several character voices of the NHK Educational Programme, Little Charo 2. [2] He has voiced in the Speed Learning audiobook for English for over 10 years. [2] In CS Benesse Channel, Eigo de GO!, Gomm played a main role "teacher" as an actor and a voice actor. [2] In 2003, Gomm was cast as the main role character "RD" of US animation series Zoids: Fuzors of Cartoon Network. [2] He did video game character voices for games on PlayStation 3 and the Nintendo DS. [2] He also did narration works of TV documentary programmes and company promotional videos. [2]

On October 14, 2017, Von Gomm started a YouTube channel called Peter von Gomm Japan. [3] It has videos about the motorcycle culture and interesting places in Japan. [3] As of June 2022 the channel has 23 thousand subscribers. [3]

Personal life

Von Gomm is married to a Japanese woman called Kyoko. [4] His son Jyoji was born in 2010. [5]

Ultraman is a Japanese tokusatsu science fiction television series created by Eiji Tsuburaya. Produced by Tsuburaya Productions, it is a follow-up to Ultra Q, though not technically a sequel or spin-off. Tsuburaya Productions produced 39 episodes that aired on Tokyo Broadcasting System (TBS) and its affiliate stations from July 17, 1966, to April 9, 1967. Its premiere topped the average rating set by Ultra Q and kept climbing each week, marking the show as a success. It was also the first Japanese television series to use a bidding system for commercial rights, allowing multiple third-party companies to sponsor the show. <i>Ultra Fight Victory</i> Japanese TV series or program

Ultra Fight Victory is a Japanese television miniseries produced by Tsuburaya Productions, aired during the ending segment of the New Ultraman Retsuden programming block on TV Tokyo. The official YouTube Channel of Tsuburaya Productions aired this miniseries legally with each episode that was uploaded to the Tsuburaya Productions YouTube Channel being deleted a week after their initial upload. It was available in regions that are currently region locked such as the United States. In promotion to the 2-part episodes 13 and 14 of Ultraman X, which features the crossover with the cast of Ultraman Ginga S, the Tsuburaya YouTube channel decided to re-aired a full episode instead of miniseries cuts, retaining the original subtitle. However, this video was limited until it would be locked on October 24, 2015.

Ultraman Orb is a Japanese tokusatsu television series produced by Tsuburaya Productions and broadcast on TV Tokyo. This series is the 28th entry to the Ultra Series, released to commemorate its 50th anniversary of the Ultra Series and is the first one since Ultra Galaxy Mega Monster Battle: Never Ending Odyssey not to be a part of Ultraman Retsuden/New Ultraman Retsuden. Ultra Galaxy Fight is a Japanese online miniseries produced by Tsuburaya Productions, based on the low-budget series Ultra Fight while being marketed for worldwide audiences through YouTube in both Japanese and English versions for viewers overseas. It was originally released from September 29, 2019, while coinciding with the television broadcast of Ultraman Taiga. Eight months after it ended, the series was announced to receive a sequel story in November 2020, followed by the third entry in 2022.

Shin Ultraman is a 2022 Japanese superhero film directed by Shinji Higuchi and written, co-produced, and co-edited by Hideaki Anno. A reimagining of the 1966 television series Ultraman, the film is a co-production between Toho Studios and Cine Bazar, and presented by Tsuburaya Productions, Toho Co., Ltd., and Khara, Inc. It is the 37th film in the Ultraman franchise, and Anno and Higuchi's second reimagining of a tokusatsu series, following Shin Godzilla (2016) and preceding Shin Kamen Rider (2023). The film stars Takumi Saitoh, Masami Nagasawa, Daiki Arioka, Akari Hayami, Tetsushi Tanaka, and Hidetoshi Nishijima, with Anno and Bin Furuya as Ultraman.
