Pierfranco Vianelli (born 20 October 1946) is a former Italian cyclist and Olympic Champion. He won a gold medal at the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City, in the Individual Road Race. [1] He also won a bronze medal in the Team Time Trial. [2]

It was the fourth consecutive Games that an Italian cyclist finished first or second. Leif Mortensen's silver was Denmark's second consecutive silver medal in the event. Gösta Pettersson earned Sweden's first medal in the event with his bronze.
