ABBA is a Swedish pop supergroup formed in Stockholm in 1972 by Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson, and Anni-Frid Lyngstad. The group's name is an acronym of the first letters of their first names. They became one of the most commercially successful acts in the history of popular music, topping the charts worldwide from 1974 to 1982. ABBA won the Eurovision Song Contest 1974, giving Sweden its first triumph in the contest. They are the most successful group to have taken part in the competition.
Göran BrorBennyAndersson is a Swedish musician, composer, producer, member of the Swedish music group ABBA, and co-composer of the musicals Chess, Kristina från Duvemåla, and Mamma Mia!. For the 2008 film version of Mamma Mia! and its 2018 sequel, Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, he worked also as an executive producer. Since 2001, he has been active with his own band Benny Anderssons orkester.

With origins rooted in distorted rock, they found mainstream success through their alternative rock albums of the mid-1990s, 2000s and 2010s, the latter decades during which they adopted elements of synthpop. With eleven number-one albums, five number-one singles, 23 Swedish Grammy Awards, and over 3 million record sales, Kent is considered the most popular rock/pop group within Sweden and throughout Scandinavia. Vapen & ammunition (2002) topped the Swedish charts for 95 weeks. Kent is often compared to bands like U2, Coldplay and Depeche Mode.
Bert Gustav Tommy Körberg is a Swedish singer, actor, and musician. English-speaking audiences know him best for his role as Anatoly/"The Russian" in the musical Chess. He played the role on the 1984 concept album, and on stage in the 1986 world première West End production in London, as well as several times since.

Komeda was a Swedish pop/indie band from Umeå. They were initially called Cosma Komeda, named in honour of composer Vladimir Cosma and jazz musician and composer Krzysztof Komeda. The band started in the mid-1980s as post-punk band influenced by bands such as Can, Devo, and The Velvet Underground and by film soundtracks. Their first public appearance was in 1991 as a pit band for a Buster Keaton festival in their home town of Umeå. Forming as a quartet of schoolfriends, Komeda consisted of vocalist Lena Karlsson, guitarist Henrik Andersson, bassist Marcus Holmberg and Holmberg's brother Jonas on drums.. They increased in popularity, especially in the US, following tours with Beck and Ben Folds Five and regular MTV appearances. Reluctant to move permanently to the US to pursue further success, and grieving from the loss of their parents, the band went into hiatus following 1998's What Makes It Go? although they continued to make music for theatre during this time.

Marie Helen Sjöholm is a Swedish singer, actress and musical theatre performer who lives in Gamla Enskede in Stockholm. She grew up in Sundsvall and started to sing in choirs at an early age, working, among others, with Swedish conductor Kjell Lönnå. By the end of the 1980s she toured with the group "Just For Fun".

The Hellacopters are a Swedish garage rock band that was formed in 1994 by Nicke Andersson, Andreas Tyrone "Dregen" Svensson (guitar), Kenny Håkansson (bass) and Robert Eriksson (drums). Andersson had been the drummer for death metal band Entombed and Dregen was taking a break from his full-time band Backyard Babies. Dregen and Eriksson had been roadies for Entombed, while Håkansson was a childhood friend of Andersson's. The Hellacopters were initially conceived as a side project for Andersson and Dregen, but it eventually became the main songwriting and performance vehicle for Andersson. The band, together with The Hives, is considered one of the most important Swedish bands in the garage rock revival and one of the most influential rock bands in Sweden.
Pop På Svenska is the debut album by Swedish band Komeda. It was originally released in 1993 in Sweden on the North of No South label. Most of the songs are sung in the band's native language, although the pop/rock sound they are known for is firmly in place. The songs were originally written in English but later changed to Swedish following an idea from drummer Jonas Holmberg to sing in their own language.

Both were originally released by the Swedish record label North of No South — the album Pop På Svenska in 1993 and the EP Plan 714 till Komeda in 1995. Both the album and EP are sung in Komeda's native language.
Kokomemedada is the fourth full-length studio album from Swedish band Komeda, and their third album sung in English. Kokomemedada was first released in 2003 on Sonet Records and in 2004 in the United States on the Minty Fresh label. The album is the first Komeda release after the departure of guitarist Mattias Norlander, leaving the band to continue as a trio.
"Papaya Coconut" is a song, written by Ingela Forsman and Lasse Holm. It was recorded with lyrics in Swedish by Kikki Danielsson on her 1986 album Papaya Coconut, and is one of her most famous recordings. The lyrics are about travelling from the Earth's colder places to its hotter places. The song was a Svensktoppen #1 hit, being at the chart for 12 weeks from January 11-March 29, 1987.

"I'm a Marionette" is a song recorded by the Swedish pop group ABBA from their fifth album, ABBA: The Album. Written by Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson, this song was part of a mini-musical called The Girl with the Golden Hair that ABBA performed at several of their live concerts. The other songs in the "mini-musical" were "Thank You for the Music", "I Wonder (Departure)" and "Get on the Carousel". With the exception of the last track, studio versions of these appeared on the 1977 ABBA album. "I'm a Marionette" was the B-side of "Take a Chance on Me", when it was released as a single.
