The song exhibits influences from electronic dance music, characteristic of the band's musical direction in the 1990s. The music video, directed by Stéphane Sednaoui, was set inside of a mirrorball and featured the band members dressed as members of the disco group the Village People.
"Independent Women Part I" is a song by American girl group Destiny's Child. It was written and produced by production duo Poke & Tone, consisting of Samuel Barnes and Jean-Claude Olivier, along with Cory Rooney, and band member Beyoncé Knowles. The song first appeared on the soundtrack to the 2000 film adaptation of Charlie's Angels (2000), serving as its lead single, and was later included on the group's third studio album, Survivor (2001). "Independent Women" was Destiny's Child's first single to feature vocals from band member Michelle Williams who had joined the band in January 2000.
"South Side" is a song written and recorded by American electronica musician Moby. It was first released to radio in October 2000 as the seventh single from his fifth studio album, Play. Initially recorded with No Doubt frontwoman Gwen Stefani, production problems forced Moby to leave Stefani's vocals off the mix of the song included on Play; Stefani's vocals were then restored for the song's single release. The drums are sampled from "What's Up Front That Counts" by The Counts.
"Jumpin', Jumpin'" is a song by American girl group Destiny's Child, released as the fourth and final single from the group's second studio album, The Writing's on the Wall (1999). The song was co-written and co-produced by group member Beyoncé and Chad Elliott, with additional writing from Rufus Moore and production assistance from Jovonn Alexander.
"You Should Be Dancing" is a song by the Bee Gees, from the album Children of the World, released in 1976. It hit No. 1 for one week on the American Billboard Hot 100, No. 1 for seven weeks on the US Hot Dance Club Play chart, and in September the same year, reached No. 5 on the UK Singles Chart. The song also peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard Soul chart. It was this song that first launched the Bee Gees into disco. It was also the only track from the group to top the dance chart.
"Could It Be Magic" is a song with lyrics by Adrienne Anderson and music by Barry Manilow, based on Frédéric Chopin's Prelude in C minor, Opus 28, Number 20. Initially released in 1971 by Featherbed, produced and co-written by Tony Orlando, it was later re-recorded as a Barry Manilow solo track, given a first album and single release in 1973 on Bell Records and - after being remixed - an album and single re-release in 1975 on Arista Records. The 1975 re-release became one of Manilow's first hits. The song has been recorded by a number of other artists over the years, most successfully by Donna Summer in 1976 and by Take That in 1992.

Despite not peaking at number one, it was the number-one pop single of 2000, becoming only the second single at the time to top the year end charts despite never spending a week at the top of the weekly charts and marking the first time this had happened in 35 years.
"Amazed" is a power ballad by American country music group Lonestar, released on March 22, 1999, for country radio and on December 13 of that same year for pop radio as the second single from their third studio album Lonely Grill (1999). It is the band's longest-lasting number one single and biggest hit, spending eight weeks at the top of the Billboard country chart. The song was written by Marv Green, Aimee Mayo, and Chris Lindsey. A remix of the song was released in December 1999, and reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and number 2 on the Hot Adult Contemporary Tracks charts in 2000. The song has sold over 1,650,000 digital copies in the US as of February 2016.
"Lately" is a ballad recorded by American R&B girl group Divine. The song was released as the group's debut single in August 1998 and peaked at number one on the US Billboard Hot 100. The gospel-inspired song was eventually released to international markets, but it failed to make as big of an impact as it did in America.

Written by Adamski and Seal and produced by Adamski, "Killer" was Adamski's breakthrough single but is now more notable for featuring Seal as a vocalist. A major hit in the United Kingdom, it reached number one on the UK Singles Chart, spending four weeks at the top in May and June 1990. In total, the single sold over 400,000 copies in the UK, earning it a Gold certification from the British Phonographic Industry. The song was written by Estefan, her husband Emilio Estefan, Jr., Randall Barlow and Angie Chirino and produced by Estefan, Jr. and Tony Moran. The song bears the most resemblance to a club song on the entire album and probably the one that became the most popular with this release. Unfortunately, in the US the single was planned for commercial release on July 14, 1998 on various formats, but at the last minute the release was cancelled. The single was released worldwide in many other countries and took the highest position on many charts, including number-one in Spain and on the US Billboard Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart.

The woman who appears in the video is Brazilian-born singer Olga Souza. The song was a worldwide hit in 1994, peaking at number-one in Italy, and within the top five in most of Europe, while in the US, it fell short of the top ten, reaching number eleven on both the Billboard Hot 100 and the Cash Box Top 100.
"What I Cannot Change" is a song written by Darrell Brown, and co-written and recorded by American country artist LeAnn Rimes. The song was released to country radio in August 2008 as the third and final single from her twelfth studio album, Family (2007). The song was later supported by a set of dance remixes, released in November 2008. When the song reached number one on the Dance Club Songs chart, Rimes became the first country artist to attain a number one single on both that chart and the Hot Country Songs chart.

The song was first recorded as a demo during the recording sessions for the 1977 Fleetwood Mac album, Rumours, and this demo was included on the 2-disc Rumours expanded re-release in 2004. The song earned Nicks a nomination for the Grammy Award for Best Female Rock Vocal Performance.
