Planet of the Apes: Best of Guano Apes is a greatest hits album by Guano Apes, released on 29 November 2004.
The album is distributed by BMG and is available in three versions:
The album features all of their singles, their favourite songs and one new song - "Break the Line". The digipak version contains the second disc consisting of remixes and B-sides. It was the last album released by the band before they took a one-year hiatus in 2005, however it later became an indefinite hiatus due to lead singer Sandra Nasic starting her solo career and the remaining three formed IO. The album charted at number 32 in their native Germany.

It is a compilation of her successful series of remix singles released since 2001 with the addition of several new mixes. Collaborators include Basement Jaxx, Felix Da Housecat and the Pet Shop Boys. "You're the One" was released as a single and reached #2 on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart in the United States. Yoko Ono achieved a number one on the Hot Dance Club Play chart in August 2008 with "Give Peace a Chance".

IO is a German alternative rock band, formed in 2006 after the breakup of Guano Apes. Original Guano Apes members Henning Rümenapp (guitar), Stefan Ude (bass) and Dennis Poschwatta (drums) reunited after having spent time on individual projects - of which Poschwatta's band Tamoto was the only real band, as well as the most successful. IO was then completed by adding American singer Charles Simmons to the lineup.
Bel Air is the fourth studio album by the German alternative rock band Guano Apes, and the first released after the band's reunion in 2009. It was released on 1 April 2011 on Columbia Europe, eight years after their previous album Walking on a Thin Line.

"Rain" is a 1997 song by Guano Apes. It was first released on January 1998 as a promotional single, but later had a full release on May 1998 as their second single from their debut album Proud Like a God. It is one of the songs by the band to have a softer sound, followed by "Don't You Turn Your Back on Me", "Living in a Lie", "Pretty in Scarlet" and "Quietly". The music video shows the band walking on a desert, looking for rain.
"Quietly" is the third and final single from the Guano Apes third album, Walking on a Thin Line. Like the previous single, Pretty in Scarlet, it charted at No. 51 in Germany. The single contains two previously unreleased songs, "Cream Over Moon" and "Allies", as well as previously unreleased live versions of "You Can't Stop Me" and "Pretty In Scarlet". It also contains an internet link giving exclusive access to the music video, a 'making of' feature for the music video, band members' statements and a live recording of Quietly. Rock Hard magazine called the song an incredibly gripping ballad.
"You Can't Stop Me" is the first single from the Guano Apes' third album, Walking on a Thin Line. It was released as a single on 13 January 2003, at which point the album it would appear on was still untitled. It reached No. 10 in Germany, also charting in four other European countries, and performing well in Portugal. It was their first single released in the United Kingdom. The song would later also appear on the 2004 greatest hits album, Planet of the Apes.
"Dödel Up" is a 2000 song by Guano Apes. It is the fourth and final single from Don't Give Me Names, released on January 29, 2001 in Germany. Originally the post-grunge-influenced "I Want It" was going to be the fourth single as there was a video, however the band scrapped the video and chose to do "Dödel Up" instead. The music video for the single was a complete departure from the previous Apes music videos, as the video was purely animated, but blended with live footage. The video shows the band portrayed as half bodied pencil holders.
"Pretty in Scarlet" is a 2003 song by Guano Apes, released as the second single from their third album Walking on a Thin Line on 23 April 2003. The music video shows Sandra as a rich person who gets attraction from the other members in her mansion.
Offline is the fifth studio album by the German rock band Guano Apes. It was released on 30 May 2014 by Epic Records/Sony Music labels.
