Breathe is the fourth studio album by American country music artist Faith Hill. It was released November 9, 1999, via Warner Bros. Records. It won a Grammy Award for Best Country Album. Breathe is one of the most successful country/pop albums to date. It has been certified 8× Platinum by the RIAA, for shipping eight million copies in the US. The album includes the singles "Breathe", "The Way You Love Me", "Let's Make Love", and "If My Heart Had Wings". "Breathe" and "The Way You Love Me" both reached number one on the US Billboard Hot Country Songs chart; the former also peaked at number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was the top pop song of 2000 according to Billboard Year-End. Several of the album's tracks also charted from unsolicited airplay.

Tight Rope is the sixth studio album by country duo Brooks & Dunn, released in 1999 on Arista Nashville. Their least successful album commercially, it was the first album of their career not to receive platinum certification from the RIAA; furthermore, only one of its three singles reached Top Ten on the country charts. The album's lead-off single was a cover of John Waite's 1984 single "Missing You". This cover peaked at #15 on the Hot Country Songs charts. Following it were the #19 "Beer Thirty" and the #5 "You'll Always Be Loved by Me". "Goin' Under Gettin' Over You" also reached #60 from unsolicited play as an album cut. None of the album's singles are featured on any of the duo's compilations.
For Me It's You is the fifth studio album by the Canadian country music singer Michelle Wright. It was released on August 27, 1996, on Arista Nashville. Two tracks, "We've Tried Everything Else" and "Cold Kisses", were reprised from Wright's 1994 album, The Reasons Why. Raul Malo, the lead singer of the country music group The Mavericks, sings backup on the track "Love Has No Pride".

This compilation comprises 21 of his Top Ten singles, arranged in chronological order, from his 1991 debut "Sticks and Stones" to 2003's "Paint Me a Birmingham". Of the songs on this album, only the 1994 single "Renegades, Rebels and Rogues" was not previously included on one of Lawrence's studio releases. The album has sold 348,900 copies in the United States as of April 2017.

Released in May 1998 as his final studio album for MCA Records, it produced only two singles: the title track and "I Wanna Feel That Way Again", both of which reached Top Ten on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks charts that year, peaking at #3 and #9, respectively. "I'm from the Country" was co-written by Richard Young, rhythm guitarist for the band The Kentucky Headhunters. The album was originally to be titled Walkin' the Line.

The album was originally to have been released in 2003, on View 2 Records, which promoted the first two singles. Asylum-Curb promoted the third single, "Let Them Be Little", which was co-written by Richie McDonald, lead singer of Lonestar, and recorded by the band on their 2004 album Let's Be Us Again. After this song came "This Is the Life", "Race You to the Bottom" and "Swinging for the Fence". Also included on the album are re-recordings of "Somewhere in My Broken Heart" and "Billy the Kid", two of Dean's early singles from 1991 and 1992.
