Plaza Insurgentes is an enclosed neighborhood shopping center along Avenida Insurgentes in Colonia Roma, Mexico City. It opened in 1999 on the site of the first Sears Mexico store which had opened in 1947 and was subdivided to add mall stores. When the Sears was built, it was far from the upscale shopping districts at that time, downtown along Avenida Juárez and the department stores just south of the Zócalo. [1] [2]
Plaza Insurgentes is anchored by a Sears, Sanborns restaurant and junior department store, and a Cinemex multicinema. It measures 8,327 square metres (89,630 sq ft) of gross leasable area with 31 stores distributed over 2 levels, with parking for 807 cars and 150,000 visitors per month. [3] A freestanding Woolworth and multistory freestanding Miniso also line Avenida Insurgentes nearby, forming a small shopping district.

San Ángel is a colonia or neighborhood of Mexico City, located in the southwest in Álvaro Obregón borough. Historically, it was a rural community, called Tenanitla in the pre-Hispanic period. Its current name is derived from the El Carmen monastery school called San Ángel Mártir. San Ángel remained a rural community, centered on the monastery until the 19th and 20th centuries, when the monastery was closed and when the area joined urban sprawl of Mexico City. However, the area still contains many of its former historic buildings and El Carmen is one of the most visited museums in the city. It hosts an annual flower fair called the Feria de las Flores, held since 1856.

Perisur is a shopping mall located in the Coyoacán borough in southern Mexico City at the intersection of Insurgentes Avenue South and the Anillo Periférico, next to the UNAM main campus in Ciudad Universitaria and to the upscale Jardines del Pedregal neighbourhood. Designed by architect Juan Sordo Madaleno, the shopping center became the largest shopping mall in total area in Mexico when it opened in 1980.

Plaza West Covina is a large regional shopping mall in West Covina, California, owned by the Starwood Capital Group. Its anchor stores are Macy's, JCPenney, XXI Forever, Nordstrom Rack, Best Buy, and Gold's Gym with one vacant space last occupied by Sears. Westfield America, Inc., a precursor to Westfield Group, acquired the shopping center in 1998 and renamed it "Westfield Shoppingtown West Covina", dropping the "Shoppingtown" name in June 2005. In October 2013, the Westfield Group sold the mall to Starwood Capital Group and the mall is now managed by Pacific Retail Capital Partners.

Colonia Buenavista is a colonia or neighbourhood in the Cuauhtémoc borough located northwest of the historic center of Mexico City. What would become the city's main train terminal, Buenavista Station, stood here 1873–1958, and a new Buenavista Station opened in its place in 1961. Though there is no longer intercity passenger service to or from Mexico City, the station is still the terminus of the Tren Suburbano commuter rail line, in a complex together with a major shopping mall, the Forum Buenavista. The colonia is also home to the offices of the Cuauhtémoc borough and the mega José Vasconcelos Library.
Forum Buenavista is a 37,250-square-metre (401,000 sq ft) shopping mall built atop the Buenavista Station in Colonia Buenavista, central Mexico City, where Avenida de los Insurgentes meets Eje 1 Norte. It was developed by GICSA, opened in 2009, and as of 2015 it was one of the ten largest malls in Greater Mexico City. While the train station and tracks occupy the ground floor, the mall occupies three floors above, stretching 400 meters from south to north.
La Cinco y Diez, is the name of an intersection, pedestrian overpass over that intersection, public transportation hub and major retail district in La Mesa borough, Tijuana, Mexico. The name exists because a branch of the Luján/Cardenas family's "La Cinco y Diez" five and dime store once stood here, and Tijuana residents taking taxis or buses would ask to be let off by "La Cinco y Diez".

Valley Plaza was a shopping center in North Hollywood, Los Angeles, one of the first in the San Fernando Valley, opened in 1951. In the mid-1950s it was reported to be the largest shopping center on the West Coast of the United States and the third-largest in the country. It was located along Laurel Canyon Boulevard from Oxnard to Vanowen, and west along Victory Boulevard. Like its competitor Panorama City Shopping Center to the north, Valley Plaza started with one core development and grew over time to market, under the single name "Valley Plaza", a collection of adjacent retail developments with multiple developers, owners, and opening dates.
La Plaza, originally Palm Springs Plaza, is a on-street, open-air shopping center at the heart of downtown Palm Springs, California. It is located between the main southbound artery through downtown, South Palm Canyon Drive, and the northbound artery, Indian Canyon Drive, along a divided road called La Plaza, with storefronts on all of those streets as well as on the north backside and south backside (Arenas).
Sears expanded into Latin America and Spain starting with a small store in Downtown Havana, Cuba in 1942. Sears opened its first store in Mexico City in 1947; the Mexican stores would later spin off into Sears Mexico, now owned by billionaire Carlos Slim's Grupo Sanborns, which by the end of 2022 operated 97 stores across Mexico.
