Host and producer, Tracy Alan Thibodeaux, draws from his extensive radio broadcasting experience to introduce his guest's work to uninitiated listeners, clarify historical events from the artist's perspective and showcase upcoming projects.

Earl Thomas Conley was an American country music singer-songwriter. Between 1980 and 2003, he recorded ten studio albums, including seven for RCA Records. In the 1980s and into the 1990s, Conley also charted more than thirty singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, of which eighteen reached Number One. His eighteen Billboard Number One country singles during the 1980s marked the most Number One hits by any artist in any genre during that decade, excluding Alabama and Ronnie Milsap.

Oleta Adams American singer and pianist

Oleta Adams is an American singer and pianist. Adams found limited success during the early 1980s, before gaining fame via her contributions to Tears for Fears's international chart-topping album, The Seeds of Love (1989). Her albums Circle of One (1991) and Evolution (1993) were top 10 hits in the UK; the former yielded a Grammy-nominated cover of Brenda Russell's "Get Here", which was a top 5 hit in both the UK and the US. Adams has been nominated for four total Grammy Awards, as well as two Soul Train Music Awards.

Something to Talk About (Bonnie Raitt song) 1991 single by Bonnie Raitt

"Something to Talk About" is a song written by Canadian singer-songwriter Shirley Eikhard and recorded by Bonnie Raitt in 1990, for her 1991 album Luck of the Draw. It was released to U.S. radio on June 3, 1991. Three single versions were released: the promo b/w the same song; the 7-inch single b/w "One Part Be My Lover" a song written by Raitt with her then husband actor Michael O'Keefe, which was also off Luck of the Draw; and a 12-inch single with these two songs and "I Ain’t Gonna Let You Break My Heart Again" off her previous album Nick of Time. In turn, this song was included on the EP version of Raitt’s 2000 single of "The Fundamental Things" taken from her 1998 album Fundamental. It was also included in 2003’s greatest hits compilation The Best of Bonnie Raitt. Live versions also appeared on 1995’s Road Tested and 2006’s Bonnie Raitt and Friends.

Sara Bareilles American singer-songwriter, actress, author, and producer

Sara Beth Bareilles is an American singer-songwriter, actress, author, and producer. Bareilles released her debut studio album Careful Confessions in 2004. She received further recognition with the release of her second studio album Little Voice (2007). The album included the hit single "Love Song", which reached no. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 and earned her two Grammy Award nominations, including Song of the Year. In 2010, she released her third studio album Kaleidoscope Heart, with its lead single "King of Anything" earning a Grammy Award nomination. Mur Lafferty American podcaster and writer

Mur Lafferty is an American podcaster and writer based in Durham, North Carolina. She was the editor and host of Escape Pod from 2010, when she took over from Steve Eley, until 2012, when she was replaced by Norm Sherman. She is also the host and creator of the podcast I Should Be Writing. Until July 2007, she was host and co-editor of Pseudopod. "Get Here" is a pop ballad written by American singer and songwriter Brenda Russell. The title track of her fourth studio album Get Here (1988), it became a moderate hit on the Billboard R&B chart on the heels of the album's massive first hit, "Piano in the Dark". American vocalist Oleta Adams recorded the song in 1990, making it a major international hit that reached the top 5 in both the US and the UK. Adams's version of "Get Here", co-produced by Roland Orzabal from the band Tears for Fears, became her signature song.

Evolution is the fourth album by the American vocalist, pianist and songwriter Oleta Adams and was released in 1993. The album is the follow up to Adams' worldwide hit album Circle of One and is fully produced by Stewart Levine. Like its predecessor, Evolution consists of songs with a mix of jazz, soul, pop and gospel. Evolution features three cover versions: the James Taylor song "Don't Let Me Be Lonely Tonight", Billy Joel's "New York State of Mind" and Ivan Lins' "Evolution". Adams wrote six of the twelve album tracks, and it also features a song written by songwriter Diane Warren.
