The Mayor of Yiyang is the highest-ranking official in the People's Government of Yiyang or Yiyang Municipal Government. However, in the city's dual party-government governing system, the Mayor has less power than the Communist Party of Yiyang Municipal Committee Secretary, colloquially termed the "CPC Party Chief of Yiyang" or "Communist Party Secretary of Yiyang".

History

On May 26, 2014, Yang Baohua was put under investigation for alleged "serious violations of discipline and laws." by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI), the Communist Party's anti-graft watchdog. [1] He underwent investigation for corruption in 2014. [2]

Tong Mingqian is a former Chinese politician. At the height of his political career he served as the Communist Party Secretary of the cities of Shaoyang and Hengyang, before becoming the Vice-Chairman of the Hunan Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, a largely ceremonial legislative consultation body. Wang Jiong is a Chinese politician, and current chair of the Chongqing branch of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. He began his political career as an administrator at Wuhan Steel. He was previously the Deputy Communist Party Secretary of Henan province.
