The Politics of Yiyang in Hunan province in the People's Republic of China is structured in a dual party-government system like all other governing institutions in mainland China.
The Mayor of Yiyang is the highest-ranking official in the People's Government of Yiyang or Yiyang Municipal Government. However, in the city's dual party-government governing system, the Mayor has less power than the Communist Party of Yiyang Municipal Committee Secretary, colloquially termed the "CPC Party Chief of Yiyang" or "Communist Party Secretary of Yiyang".
On May 26, 2014, Yang Baohua was put under investigation for alleged "serious violations of discipline and laws." by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI), the Communist Party's anti-graft watchdog. [1] He underwent investigation for corruption in 2014. [2]

Tong Mingqian is a former Chinese politician. At the height of his political career he served as the Communist Party Secretary of the cities of Shaoyang and Hengyang, before becoming the Vice-Chairman of the Hunan Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, a largely ceremonial legislative consultation body. He was removed from office in December 2013 and placed under investigation by the Communist Party's anti-graft agency.
Pan Yiyang is a former Chinese politician who served in regional posts in Jiangxi province and Inner Mongolia. Pan served as the Communist Party Secretary of Ganzhou between 2003 and 2010, and subsequently Executive Vice Chairman of Inner Mongolia. During his tenure in the autonomous region he also sat on the Party Standing Committee of Inner Mongolia. He was placed under investigation for corruption in September 2014 and expelled from the Communist Party. Upon being convicted on charges of bribery, Pan was sentenced to 20 years in prison.

He was accused of taking 206 million RMB bribery according to The Second People's Court of Tianjin, 2018.

He entered the workforce in January 1973, and joined the Communist Party of China in July 1976. He was a delegate to the 12th National People's Congress.
