Ponraman Perumal, known professionally as Ponram is an Indian film director and screenwriter. He directed the film Thirutham in 2007 Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam in 2013. Later on he had directed Seema Raja in 2018.
He directed Sivakarthikeyan in the comedy film Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam . In a review of the film, a critic stated that the film is a "jolly good fun ride". [1] The film was a commercial success. [2] Ponram went on to work with Sivakarthikeyan in Rajinimurugan (2016) and Seemaraja (2018). [3] [4] Rajinimurugan and Seemaraja received mixed reviews upon release although the former ended up as a commercial success. [5] [6] [7] Ponram also directed Town Bus, starring Gautham Karthik, for the nine-episode anthology series Navarasa ; the episode, despite being filmed in October 2020, was not included in the series. Winner is a 2003 Indian Tamil-language action comedy film written and directed by Sundar C. The film stars Prashanth and Kiran Rathod in the lead roles, while Vadivelu, Vijayakumar, M. N. Nambiar and Riyaz Khan play other important supporting roles. The film, which has music scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja and camera work handled by Prasad Murella, released on 27 September 2003 and became a commercial hit. This film is best known for Vadivelu's comedy.

Imman, with cinematography handled by Balasubramaniem and editing done by Vivek Harshan. M. Rajesh wrote the dialogues for the film.

Rajinimurugan is a 2016 Indian Tamil-language masala film written and directed by Ponram, and produced by director N. Lingusamy and N. Subash Chandra Bose under the banner Thirrupathi Brothers. This is the second directorial venture of Ponram, after Varuthapadaatha Valibar Sangam (2013). It stars Sivakarthikeyan in dual roles for the first time in his career; as the title character, a jobless youth who decides to sell his grandfather's property to become rich; and a cameo appearance as Bosepandi from the previous film. Keerthy Suresh and Soori portray the lead roles, while Rajkiran, Samuthirakani and Achyuth Kumar play supporting roles.

The film features music composed by D. Imman and cinematography by Balasubramaniam. The movie was released on 13 September 2018, coinciding with the festival of Vinayagar Chathurthi.

Navarasa is a 2021 Indian Tamil-language anthology streaming television series created by Mani Ratnam, who also collaborated with Jayendra Panchapakesan to produce it through their newly formed banner Justickets. The series features nine stand-alone episodes based on the Indian concept of the Navarasas, filmed by Priyadarshan, Karthik Subbaraj, Vasanth, Arvind Swami, Bejoy Nambiar, Karthick Naren, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Sarjun KM and Rathindran R. Prasad. Rajinimurugan is the soundtrack album composed by D. Imman for the 2015 Tamil film of the same name directed by Ponram, starring Sivakarthikeyan, Keerthy Suresh and Soori. The film marked Imman's third collaboration with Sivakarthikeyan and second collaboration with Ponram. The album featured ten tracks in entirety, including a remix and karaoke versions of the songs, with lyrics written by Yugabharathi. The song "Yennamma Ippadi Panreengalema" was released as a single on 25 May 2015, and the album in its entirety was released on 10 June 2015 by Sony Music. The album received positive response and topped the charts.
