Pop Star is the debut studio album by South African singer-songwriter and videographer Yanga Chief released on 27 November 2020 through Sony Music Entertainment Africa under exclusive license from Young Legend Music, it is the sequel to his debut extended play (EP) Becoming a Pop Star (2019). [1] It was led by singles "BBAF" and "Manelo", [2] and features guest appearances from Langa Mavuso, Maglera Doe Boy, Frank Casino, Tshego AMG, SaveMilli and Thabsie. [3]

Shabazz Palaces is an American hip hop group from Seattle led by Ishmael Butler a.k.a. Palaceer Lazaro. Much of the Butler's work as Shabazz Palaces has been made in collaboration with multi-instrumentalist Tendai "Baba" Maraire, son of mbira master Dumisani Maraire. Active since 2009, Shabazz Palaces has released five studio albums on Sub Pop after self-releasing two EPs. Their most recent album, The Don of Diamond Dreams, was released on April 17, 2020.

Andile Sibabalwe Fiphaza, professionally known as Zoocci Coke Dope is a South African record producer, rapper, singer, and audio engineer. Almost all of his productions begin with the tag "Zoocci Coke Dope! He's the dealer". Zoocci's debut album, Anxiety, was released on 25 November 2019. The follow-up album, Anxiety+ was released on 25 February 2022. He won the Producer of the Year award at the South African Hip Hop Awards 2021.

South African hip hop artist and record producer AKA has released four studio albums, two collaborative albums with Anatii as well as Costa Titch respectively, one extended play (EP), 42 singles and 23 music videos. AKA's music has been released on record labels Sony Music Entertainment Africa, Vth Season and Beam Group.

"Utatakho" is a single by South African singer-songwriter and videographer Yanga Chief from his debut extended play Becoming a Pop Star (2019), released on 5 April 2019 through Sony Music Entertainment Africa under exclusive license from Young Legend Music, it was certified Platinum by the Recording Industry of South Africa (RiSA).
