Los Bukis are a Mexican grupero band. Formed in Ario de Rosales, Michoacán in 1973, the band's current lineup consists of singer and songwriter Marco Antonio Solís, Joel Solís (guitars), José Javier Solís (congas/percussion), Pedro Sánchez (drums), Roberto Guadarrama (trumpet), José "Pepe" Guadarrama and Eusebio "El Chivo" Cortéz (bass).
Marisela Hernandez, commonly known as simply Marisela, is a Mexican-American singer. In 1984, she recorded her first album at the age of 18, and continued to release albums into the 1990s. Her cover version of Barbara George's single "I Know ", titled "Ya No", peaked at number-one in the Billboard Latin Songs chart in 1990. As a child she starred in Villa Alegre.
Marco Antonio Solís Sosa is a Mexican musician, singer-songwriter, and record producer. Born and raised in Ario de Rosales, Michoacán, Solís began his musical career at the age of six, performing with his brother Joel Solís as Los Hermanitos Solís. In 1975, he co-founded Los Bukis, of which he was the lead vocalist, songwriter and guitarist. The band split up after nearly two decades of success, with Solís pursuing a solo career. Solís released his debut solo album, En Pleno Vuelo, in 1996 by Fonovisa Records.

"Más Que Tu Amigo" served as the opening theme for the telenovela Velo de novia (2003), produced by Juan Osorio starring Susana González and Eduardo Santamarina.
Los Mismos, previously known as Los Bukis, is a Mexican Grupera music band from Ario de Rosales, Michoacán. The band was established in June 1996, after Marco Antonio Solís left the band Los Bukis, the remaining members regrouped as Los Mismos. Under the name Los Mismos, the band has released eleven albums, under five different labels, including EMI Latin, Univision Music Group, Skalona Records, Discos Power Records and Discos America. Not to be confused with the Spanish music band of the same name in the 1970s.

"¡Basta Ya!" is a song by Puerto Rican singer Olga Tañón from her fourth studio album, Nuevos Senderos (1996). The song was written and produced by Marco Antonio Solís. It was released as the lead single from the album in 1996. "A ballad, the song is about unrequited love and marked a musical departure from Tañón's merengue recordings. The song was nominated for Pop Song of the Year at the 1997 Lo Nuestro Awards. Commercially, it topped both the Billboard Hot Latin Songs and Latin Pop Airplay charts in the United States. A music video for the song was filmed and features a couple's failing relationship.
