Prabuddha Banerjee is an Indian music director and film composer who primarily works in Bengali films. [1] He collaborated with some well known directors like Kaushik Ganguly, Suman Mukhopadhyay, Indranil Roychowdhury, Srijit Mukherji and Bratya Basu.

On 22 February 2016 his directorial debut, in the field of Theatre, Ghashiram Kotwal, which is an adaptation on Marathi play, was premiered. In 2018 he directed Don: Taake Bhalo Laage an adaptation of Dale Wasserman's Don Quixote which was translated into Bengali by Arun Mukhopadhyay many years back. This play marked the re-entry of Suman Mukhopadhyay as an actor after 25 years.

Jyeshthoputro is a 2019 Indian Bengali language film directed by Kaushik Ganguly and features Prosenjit Chatterjee, Ritwick Chakraborty, Sudipta Chakraborty and Gargi Roychowdhury. The original story of the film was conceived by Rituparno Ghosh titled Anyo Nayok. In this film Prosenjit and Ritwik shared the screen for the first time. At the 67th National Film award, Jyesthoputro received two awards, one for Best Original Screenplay and another for Best Background Score.
