Pramila Joshai is an Indian actress in the Kannada film industry. Some of the films of Pramila Joshai as an actor include Saheba (2017), Thayi (2008), [1] [2] Apthamitra (2004). She was credited as Parimalam in her debut Tamil film Vaidehi Kathirunthal (1984) which became a blockbuster hit and has attained cult status over the years. [3]

Pramila Joshai is married[ citation needed ] to Sundar Raj, and they have a daughter named Meghana Raj. [5] [6] Both Sundar Raj and Meghana Raj are Indian film actors in the Kannada film industry, while Meghana [7] has worked in Malayalam , Telugu, Kannada and Tamil films.

Pramila Joshai is a Catholic. [8]

Sri Manjunatha is a 2001 Indian Kannada-language hagiographical film directed by K. Raghavendra Rao. The film stars Chiranjeevi, Arjun Sarja, Ambareesh, Meena, Soundarya and Sumalatha. The film is based on the life of the Shiva devotee, Bhakta Manjunatha of the Kotilingeshwara Temple. The film was partially reshot in Telugu under the same title with Chiranjeevi's scenes reshot and Brahmanandam and Tanikella Bharani replacing Dwarakish and Mimicry Dayanand, respectively whilst all other scenes were dubbed from the Kannada original.

<i>Giri</i> (film) 2004 Indian film

Giri is a 2004 Indian Tamil-language action comedy film written and directed by Sundar C, starring Arjun Sarja in the lead role, with Ramya, Reema Sen, Devayani, Vadivelu, and Prakash Raj among others enacting supporting roles. The film was released on 1 October 2004 and was remade in Kannada in 2020 as Shivarjuna starring his nephew Chiranjeevi Sarja. This film is also noted to be actress Khushbu's productional debut in her production company house Avni Cinemax. The film was dubbed into Telugu under the same name.

Bharathi Vishnuvardhan, also known mononymously as Bharathi, is an Indian actress known primarily for her work in Kannada cinema and television serials. She began her career in 1966, as a lead actress, with the Kannada movie Love in Bangalore. In a career spanning over 50 years, Bharathi has appeared in 150 films. Apart from 100 films in Kannada, she has also acted in a handful of Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam films. In the course of her career, she became known for portrayal of the roles mythological and historical characters, and also that of a student, a romantic and a rural belle. Her role in Sri Krishnadevaraya (1970) as Chennambike won her the Karnataka State Film Award for Best Actress. In 2017, she was honoured with the Padma Shri by the Government of India.

The film tells the story about how Shivaraj (Sarja), a regular man avenges the killing of his brother by the local mafia. Mutthaide Bhagya is a 1983 Indian Kannada film, directed by K. N. Chandrashekar Sharma and produced by B. V. Radha. The film stars Tiger Prabhakar, Aarathi, Chandrashekar and Sundar Raj in the lead roles. This movie is a remake of Telugu movie, Pratheekaaram (1982), in which Sobhan Babu played dual roles. The film has musical score by Vijaya Bhaskar.

<i>Prema Baraha</i> 2018 film directed by Arjun Sarja

Prema Baraha, titled Sollividava in Tamil, is a 2018 Indian romantic drama film written and directed by Arjun Sarja. It was produced by his wife Niveditha Arjun under his home studio of Sree Raam Films International, and made simultaneously in Kannada and Tamil languages. The film stars Chandan Kumar and Aishwarya Arjun, with different ensemble casts for the two versions. Jassie Gift composed the soundtrack and score. H. C. Venugopal was director of photography and Kay Kay edited the film. The two versions of the film were released worldwide on 9 February 2018. During its release, this film had a grand opening and it became a commercial success at the box office of Karnataka, but had a decent run in Tamil.

<i>Seizer</i> 2018 Indian Kannada crime-action film

Seizer is a 2018 Indian Kannada-language crime action film written, directed and co-produced by Vinay Krishna, making his debut. It features Chiranjeevi Sarja and Parul Yadav along with V. Ravichandran in the lead roles. The supporting cast includes Prakash Raj and Telugu actor Nagineedu, making his Kannada debut. The score and soundtrack for the film is by rapper Chandan Shetty and the cinematography is by Anji and Rajesh Kata.

In 2019, Guru Deshpande turned produced launching his banner G Cinemas and started a Film Institute under the name G Academy in Bengaluru.
