Prasads Multiplex is an Indian multiplex theater in Hyderabad, Telangana. [1] [2] It is India's third IMAX theater. [3] [4] [5] It was earlier the largest IMAX 3D screen in the world with the Sydney IMAX Theater (123 x 97 ft) having the largest IMAX screen. [6] [ clarification needed ]

Description

The multiplex is a centrally air-conditioned venue with an area of 235,000 sq ft (21,800 m2). It has six screens, a food court and a shopping mall covering two levels of the complex. [7] [8]

History

Prasads Multiplex was launched initially as Prasad IMAX on 25 July 2003 by South India LV Prasad Group. [9] [10] [11] The IMAX screen no 6 (now called PCX) is the biggest in India- 64ft x101.6ft and 630 seater auditorium. [12] Screen 6 was previously a 3D IMAX 70mm until 2014.

Sivaji: The Boss is a 2007 Indian Tamil-language masala film co-written and directed by S. Shankar and produced by AVM Productions. The film stars Rajinikanth in the main lead role alongside Shriya Saran. Vivek, Suman, Sathyan, Manivannan and Raghuvaran playing pivotal roles. In the film, Sivaji is a software systems architect, who returns to India from the US in order to provide free medical treatment and education, but has to face hurdles from the system and Aathisheshan, an influential political leader.

PVR INOX Ltd, formerly known as PVR Cinemas, is an Indian multiplex chain based in Mumbai. It was formed as a result of the merger between PVR Cinemas and INOX Leisure Multiplex. PVR pioneered the multiplex revolution in India by establishing the first multiplex cinema in 1997 at Saket, New Delhi. In 2022, PVR Cinemas achieved the milestone of completing 25 years in the business. As of December 2023, PVR Inox has 1747 screens across 359 properties in 114 cities.

Nagulapati Srinivasa Chakravarthy, known professionally as J. D. Chakravarthy, is an Indian actor, filmmaker, screenwriter and musician known for his work primarily with Telugu cinema in addition to Hindi, Tamil, and Malayalam films. Chakravarthy made his screen debut with the Telugu film, Siva, an action blockbuster directed by Ram Gopal Varma, featured at the 12th IFFI. He subsequently made his Bollywood debut with the remake of the same film titled Shiva (1990). He then starred in the blockbuster Satya, featured in the Indian panorama section at the 29th IFFI, and was listed among CNN-IBN's 100 greatest Indian films of all time. Chakravarthy received the Screen Award Special Jury Award.

Parugu, titled In the Name of Love in the UK, is a 2008 Indian Telugu-language romantic action drama film written and directed by Bhaskar. The film stars Allu Arjun, Sheela Kaur and Prakash Raj. The film is produced by Dil Raju on Sri Venkateswara Creations whilst Mani Sharma composed the music. Vijay K. Chakravarthy and Marthand K. Venkatesh performed the cinematography and editing of the film respectively.

Prasad Studios and Prasad Film Labs are motion picture post-production studios headquartered in Chennai, India, founded by Prasad Group in 1956. The production house has produced over 150 movies in the Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi languages.

Hussain Sagar is a heart-shaped lake in Hyderabad, Telangana, built by Ibrahim Quli Qutb Shah in 1563. It is spread across an area of 5.7 square kilometres (2.2 sq mi) and is fed by the River Musi. A large monolithic statue of the Gautama Buddha, erected in 1992, stands on Gibraltar Rock in the middle of the lake. It also separates the city centre of Hyderabad from the neighbourhood of Secunderabad. The maximum depth of the lake is 32 feet (9.8 m).
