Pravanjan Madhabnanda Mullick (born 12 September 1976 in Bhubaneswar),is an Indian first class cricketer for Odisha. A right-handed batsman,he captained the side,and has made over 5,000 runs at an average of above 50. He has twice scored a hundred in each innings of a match,the only Odisha player to have done so.
Mullick was a professional for the Northern Irish club Fox Lodge,who are currently in the North West senior one league. He also has played in the Scottish league. He retired from first-class cricket a few seasons back,but still plays for the Katak Tigers in the Odisha Premier League. [1]
The Barabati Stadium is an Indian sports stadium used mostly for cricket and association football,and also sometimes for concerts and field hockey,located in Cuttack,Odisha. It is a regular venue for international cricket and is the home ground of Odisha cricket team. The stadium is owned and operated by the Odisha Olympic Association. It is also used for association football. It hosts Santosh Trophy national football tournament and the state's Odisha First Division League football matches. The Barabati Stadium is one of the older grounds in India,having hosted several touring sides –including the MCC,the West Indies team and the Australians –before it hosted its first international cricket match. It hosted only the third one-day international in this country,in January 1982,when India put it across England by five wickets to lift the series 2–1. It hosted its first ever Test match five years later where India played hosts to Sri Lanka. Though it is not a regular Test venue,it continues to host One-Day Internationals regularly. It also hosted the 2013 Women's Cricket World Cup. This ground is also known for its good playing conditions and smooth experiences.
Shiv Sunder Das is an Indian cricket coach and former cricketer. He is currently part of the senior men's national cricket team Selection Committee. He is the third player from Odisha to represent India. He is a right-handed opening batsman. In first-class cricket he played for Odisha. Das was selected in 2000 for the first intake of the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore. He proceeded to make his Test debut later that year.
Wasim Jaffer is an Indian retired professional cricketer. He was a right-handed opening batsman and an occasional right arm off-break bowler. He is currently the highest run-scorer in Ranji Trophy cricket,surpassing Amol Muzumdar. In November 2018,he became the first batsman to score 11,000 runs in the competition. In January 2019,he became the most capped player in Ranji Trophy history with appearance of his 146th match surpassing Madhya Pradesh's Devendra Bundela (145). He was appointed as batting coach for Bangladesh cricket team. In March 2020,he announced his retirement from all forms of cricket.

The 2016–17 Ranji Trophy was the 83rd season of the Ranji Trophy,the premier first-class cricket tournament in India. Unlike previous seasons,the 2016–17 tournament was played at neutral venues. Captains and coaches were supportive of the change. Chhattisgarh cricket team made their debut in the competition,becoming the 28th team to compete in this edition of the Ranji Trophy. Mumbai were the defending champions. Gujarat beat Mumbai in the final by 5 wickets to win their first title.
The 2021–22 Ranji Trophy was the 87th season of the Ranji Trophy,the premier first-class cricket tournament in India. It was contested by 38 teams,divided into eight groups,with four teams in Group D. All the Group D league matches took place in Ahmedabad. The tournament was announced by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on 3 July 2021. Mumabi won Group D to progress to the knockout stage of the tournament.
