Prem Lal Joshi (born 1952) is an Indian educationalist,scholar,author and writer for over four decades and has worked in several countries. [1] He has worked as a Professor of Accounting (2013-19) at the Multimedia University,Cyberjaya,Malaysia. He has also been chairman of the Center for Excellence in Business Performance (CEBP) for three years. He was a Professor of Accounting at the University of Bahrain (1993-2012),Kingdom of Bahrain. Prior to that,he worked as an Associate and Assistant Professor at National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE),Mumbai (1984-1993),Visiting Associate Professor at Bilkent University (1989-90). [2] He was a Senior Fellow of the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR),New Delhi (2019-2021) to conduct research in the Internal auditing area. [3]
He is the founding and honorary editor of the International Journal of Accounting Auditing and Performance Evaluation,the founding honorary editor of Afro Asian Journal of Finance and Accounting,the founding and Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Auditing and Accounting Studies,and the Editor-in-Chief of the Global Journal of Accounting and Economy Research. [4] [5] [6] In addition to his nine books,he has published more than 130 research papers in accredited international journals in Accounting and Interdisciplinarity areas all over the world. [7] [2]
Joshi earned his Ph.D. in commerce (finance and accounting) from Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University,India,in 1981 and master's degree in commerce from South Delhi Campus,University of Delhi,in 1975. He was awarded a Teacher Fellowship by Indian Council of Social Science Research,New Delhi in 1979. [2]
During the 1980s,he worked at Garhwal University,and played a key role in establishing its Faculty of Commerce.
He is the founding and honorary editor of the International Journal of Accounting Auditing and Performance Evaluation,the founding honorary editor of Afro Asian Journal of Finance and Accounting,the founding and Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Auditing and Accounting Studies and the Editor-in-Chief of the Global Journal of Accounting and Economy Research. He has published over 130 research papers in accounting and interdisciplinary areas in refereed accredited international journals. One of his papers on management accounting has been cited by international scholars for more than 449 times. Two of his books in accounting,written in consultation with Ministry of Education,Bahrain,are text books in Government Schools in Bahrain. [8]
He was a member of AAA's IT Committee for 2005–06 and a VP of Indian audit asso. during 1991–92. He was also a member of European Accounting Association from 1995 to 2012. In 2007,he was admitted as an Academic Fellow by Association of International Accountants,United Kingdom.
He has also written more than 90 general articles which address contemporary issues related to society,the economy,and professionals. He also writes columns for a few online magazines and newspapers. [9]
He has received the Sardar Patel International Award, [10] [11] Hind Rattan Award, [2] Rajiv Gandhi Excellence in Education award,Bharat Garav award,Bharat Nirman Award, [12] NRI Institute award for Excellence. [13] He was awarded the Distinguished Teacher at MTC Global Award For Excellence in 2015. [14] In 2020,he was given SAS Life Time Achievement Award from Scholars Academic and Scientific Society (SAS Society). [15]
In 2006,Joshi was included in the International Biographical Centre’s list of 2000 Outstanding Intellectuals of the 21st Century. [16]
The Institute of Public Enterprise (IPE) was established in 1964 for the study of issues and policies relating to public enterprise (PEs). S S Khera, ICS, the Cabinet Secretary, Government of India, had conceived the idea of a research institution that would undertake a systematic and sustained study of issues relevant to the formulation of policies towards public enterprises. Bindeshwar Pathak was an Indian sociologist and social entrepreneur. He was the founder of Sulabh International, an India-based social service organisation promoting human rights, environmental sanitation, non-conventional sources of energy, waste management and social reforms through education. He was the Brand Ambassador for Swachh Rail Mission of Indian Railways, a complement to the broader Swachh Bharat Mission. His work is considered pioneering in social reform, especially in the field of sanitation and hygiene. He received various national and international awards for his work with this organisation. Satya Vrat Shastri was an Indian Sanskrit scholar, writer, grammarian and poet. He wrote three Mahakavyas, three Khandakavyas, one Prabandhakavyas and one Patrakavya and five works in critical writing in Sanskrit. His important works are Ramakirtimahakavyam, Brahattaram Bharatam, Sribodhisattvacharitam, Vaidika Vyakarana, Sarmanyadesah Sutram Vibhati, and "Discovery of Sanskrit Treasures" in seven volumes.
Sanjay Govind Dhande is an Indian Mechanical engineer and educationist. He is alumnus of College of engineering Pune. He was Director of the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur and was in temporary charge of the Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management Gwalior. From the year 2016 to 2020, Professor Dhande was the Chairman, Board of Governors of National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE), Mumbai, an Institute established by the Government of India in the year 1963. He was also Chairman, Board of Governors of National Institute of Technology Delhi . Professor Dhande was the founder director of Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing, Jabalpur. He served as a part-time member of Telecom Regulatory Authority of India. Also, he was a member of the Scientific Advisory Council to the Prime Minister of India.
Ravindra Khattree is an Indian-American statistician and a distinguished professor of statistics at Oakland University and a co-director of the Center for Data Science and Big Data Analytics at the same university. His contribution to the Fountain–Khattree–Peddada Theorem in Pitman measure of closeness is one of the important results of his work. Khattree is the coauthor of two books and has coedited two volumes. He has served as an associate editor of the Communications in Statistics journal and the editor of the Interstat online journal. He was Chief editor of Journal of Statistics and Applications for more than ten years. He is an elected fellow of the American Statistical Association.

Sugata Marjit is the former Vice Chancellor of the University of Calcutta and currently the First Distinguished Professor at Indian Institute of Foreign Trade and the Project Director of Centre for Training & Research in Public Finance and Policy (CTRPFP) [A Ministry of Finance, Government of India funded initiative].
