Andaz Apna Apna is a 1994 Indian Hindi-language romantic comedy film directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and produced by Vinay Kumar Sinha. It stars Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Raveena Tandon, Karishma Kapoor, Paresh Rawal and Shakti Kapoor in lead roles. The film was released on 4 November 1994 and the plot elements of the film were later used in other language films such as Ullathai Allitha (1996), Veedevadandi Babu (1997) and Galate Aliyandru (2000), though none being a frame-to-frame remake. Although the film was a semi-hit at the box office, the film has emerged as a cult film over the years. The lexicon of the film has become part of everyday and ordinary language. The climax of this film is a rehashed version of the climax of a 1972 film Victoria No. 203.

Mahabharat is an Indian Hindi-language epic television series based on the ancient Sanskrit epic Mahabharata. The original airing consisted of a total of 94 episodes and were broadcast from 2 October 1988 to 24 June 1990 on Doordarshan. It was produced by B. R. Chopra and directed by his son, Ravi Chopra. The music was composed by Raj Kamal. The script was written by Pandit Narendra Sharma and the Hindi/Urdu poet Rahi Masoom Raza, based on the epic by Vyasa. Costumes for the series were provided by Maganlal Dresswala. The serial claims to have used the Critical Edition of Bhandarkar Oriental Research Institute as its basic source with Vishnu Sitaram Sukthankar and Shripad Krishna Belwalkar as its primary editor.

The film was inspired from the 1992 Tamil film Rasukutty.

Haseena Maan Jaayegi is a 1999 Indian Hindi-language comedy film directed by David Dhawan. It stars Govinda, Sanjay Dutt, Karisma Kapoor and Pooja Batra, with Anupam Kher, Kader Khan, Aruna Irani, and Paresh Rawal in supporting. The film is thematically inspired by the 1966 film Pyar Kiye Jaa. It released on 25th June 1999 with positive critical reception and went on to become the fifth-highest-grossing Hindi film of 1999. It is often regarded amongst Govinda's greatest performances and he won many awards for his role as Monu and Chachaji.

Johnny Lever, Anupam Kher, Reema Lagoo, Shakti Kapoor, Saeed Jaffrey, and Kader Khan have supporting roles, while Salman Khan makes a special appearance. This film was dedicated to Manmohan Desai. Johnny Lever received the Filmfare award for Best Comedian for his performance on this film. The film was a success upon its release. The film was remade in Telugu as Nuvva Nena in 2012.
Janbaaz is a 1986 Indian action drama film, produced and directed by Feroz Khan, which became popular for its portrayal of drug addiction and Anil Kapoor and Dimple Kapadia's steamy sex scene. Sridevi appeared in a special appearance opposite Khan. Capitalising on her superstardom, Khan featured her in the song "Har Kisiko Nahi Milta Yahan Pyaar Zindagi Mein" which became a chart-topper. The film was a hit at box office. Dimple Kapadia's performance, with her chemistry and love making scene with co-star Anil Kapoor, was much appreciated and is considered to be one of her best.
