Madhya Bharat,also known as Malwa Union,was an Indian state in west-central India,created on 28 May 1948 from twenty-five princely states which until 1947 had been part of the Central India Agency,with Jiwajirao Scindia as its Rajpramukh.

He was the author of a number of books which included Nehru Vani,Janata ke Jawahar,Shantidoot Shastriji,Shreemati Indira Gandhi,Panchayaten Aur Humara Dayitwa and Pagdandiyon ki Awaz. The Government of India awarded him Padma Bhushan,the third highest Indian civilian award,in 1971.
