The president of the Ateneo de Manila University (Filipino : Pangulo ng Pamantasang Ateneo de Manila Spanish: Presidente de Universidad Ateneo de Manila; Latin : Praeside Universitas Athenaea Manilensis) is the chief administrator and principal executive officer of the Ateneo de Manila University. [1] The president is directly chosen by the university's Board of Trustees. Thirty people have held the office, in addition to several others who have held it in either an acting or interim capacity. [2] In all cases where the president of the Ateneo de Manila University is unable to fulfill their duties, an appointed officer in charge (OIC) will become acting president.

In 1951, Daza was appointed by President Quirino as a founding member of the board of directors of the National Shipyard and Steel Corporation. President and director of the National Economic Protection Agency (NEPA) in 1956.

Hermenegildo B. Reyes, KGCR co-founded the University of the East, was a Boy Scouts of the Philippines Scouting notable, Filipino educator, lawyer, mechnical and electrical engineer. Reyes served on the World Scout Committee of the World Organization of the Scout Movement from 1961 to 1967.

Deodato Arellano y de la Cruz was a Filipino propagandist and the first president of the Katipunan, which was founded at his home in Azcarraga Street, Manila. He was first to be given the title Supremo by the Katipunan. After studying bookkeeping in Ateneo de Municipal de Manila, he became an assistant clerk for the Spanish military. He was a member of the Freemasonry in the Philippines and became involved in the Propaganda Movement.

Ma. Merceditas Consunji Navarro Gutierrez is a Filipino government official who is currently serving as member of the board of trustees of Government Service Insurance System (GSIS). After graduating from the Ateneo de Manila University Law School in 1973, she quickly established herself as a valuable government figure. Aside from becoming a two-time Justice Secretary of the Philippine Justice Department, Gutierrez also became the first woman to head the post of Ombudsman. She assumed the position on December 1, 2005, and resigned from office on May 6, 2011.

The LPU Pirates are the athletic teams that represent the Lyceum of the Philippines University and plays in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (Philippines), the oldest athletic association in the Philippines. Lyceum has fifteen collegiate men's varsity teams that participate in fifteen sporting events of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (Philippines), its mother league. They are popularly known as the "Pirata ng Intramuros". The women's varsity team is called the Lady Pirates, which plays in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) while the high school varsity basketball team is from the Cavite Campus' International High School which is called the Junior Pirates. The university takes part in various sports leagues and tournaments such as the Filoil Flying V Preseason Cup, Fr. Martin's Cup, Philippine Collegiate Champions League, Milcu Sports Basketball Presents Got Skills Premier League, PBA Developmental League and Premier Volleyball League (PVL). Lyceum of the Philippines University is the youngest member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (Philippines).
