Hideyuki Yokoi, known professionally as Zeebra, is a Japanese hip hop recording artist and DJ who made his first appearance in 1995. Zeebra is a former member of the hip-hop group King Giddra, which also included DJ Oasis and K Dub Shine, and the older brother of fellow hip hop recording artist SPHERE of INFLUENCE. He went on to pursue a solo career shortly after in 1997, and signed with the Future Shock record label.

It was released as the third official single from The Game's debut studio album The Documentary (2005). The song features production from duo Cool & Dre, with additional production from Dr. Dre. The song features a music sample of "Rubber Band" by The Trammps from their debut album The Legendary Zing Album (1975). "Hate It or Love It" peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100 for five consecutive weeks, becoming The Game's second top ten song on the chart as a lead artist and 50 Cent's eighth. It is The Game's highest-charting single on the Billboard Hot 100 to date. The song was kept from the number one position on the Billboard Hot 100 by 50 Cent's single, "Candy Shop",. "Hate It or Love It" reached the number one spot on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, making it yet again another top ten hit on the chart alongside "How We Do" which also featured 50 Cent. Outside of the United States, "Hate It or Love It" peaked within the top ten of the charts in multiple countries, including the Netherlands, New Zealand, the Republic of Ireland, and the United Kingdom.

Bad Dreams is the second studio album by Canadian hip hop group Swollen Members on Battleaxe Records, released in 2001. Bad Dreams was a progression of the sound the group expressed on Balance leaning more towards the mainstream. "Take It Back" was the album's first single though the record didn't take off until the second single, "Fuel Injected" was released. "Fuel Injected" turned the underground rap group into household names overnight. The follow-up single "Bring It Home" was equally successful peaking at #3 on the Canadian Singles Chart, helping the record attain Platinum certification in Canada. The presence of Moka Only on the group's two biggest singles prompted him to join the group from 2002 to 2005. The 19th and 20th tracks are bonus tracks that appear on the 2002 reissue only. The reissue also sports an alternate cover similar to the original release. The original album also contains a hidden remix of "Take It Back" produced by Joey Chavez that appears after the end of "High Road". Kludge magazine listed Bad Dreams as one of the 25 best albums of 2001. Bad Dreams was the seventh-best selling rap album in Canada in 2002 and the best-selling rap album of the year in Canada by a Canadian rap artist.

It is their first release in three years, as the group had taken a break over the past few years while member Madchild dealt with drug addiction and legal issues. The album features guest appearances by Talib Kweli and Tech N9ne. In the United States the album debuted at #146 on the Billboard 200 with 3,400 copies sold in its first week, making it their first appearance on that chart.
