Joseph Anthony Budden II is an American broadcaster, cultural critic, media personality, and former rapper. He first gained recognition as a rapper, best known for his 2003 top 40 single "Pump It Up" and as a member of the hip hop supergroup Slaughterhouse. In 2018, he retired from rap, and found success as a broadcaster, having a much publicized run as a co-host on Everyday Struggle for Complex. He currently hosts The Joe Budden Podcast, released twice a week through Spotify and YouTube, and State of the Culture on Revolt. He has been described as "Howard Stern of Hip-Hop".
Mario Mims, better known as his stage name Yo Gotti, is an American rapper and songwriter. In 1996, Gotti released his debut album Youngsta's On a Come Up under the alias Lil Yo. Even though plans for a re-release of the album with a full version of the song "She Did That" and a rap remix of "One on One Fun" in 2014 with additional songs were announced, the idea was eventually scrapped as Love and War was never re-published.
"Trophies" is a song by Canadian rapper Drake. The song was produced by Hit-Boy, 40 and Hagler. The song was originally meant for Drake's third studio album Nothing Was the Same, however, it was cut off the final track listing. After Drake released the song for free in December 2013, it was later included on the Young Money Entertainment compilation Young Money: Rise of an Empire. On February 27, 2014, it was released as the album's second official single and credited as Young Money featuring Drake. It peaked at number 50 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Bridges is the twelfth studio album by American recording artist Joe, released on June 24, 2014. It is his first album under his new label Plaid Takeover Entertainment after severing business ties with his longtime manager Kedar Massenburg. The first single released from the album was "Love & Sex Pt. 2", which features singer Kelly Rowland. It debuted at number 17 on the Billboard 200 chart, with first-week sales of 15,126 copies in the United States. In its second week, the album dropped to number 40, selling 7,000 copies, bringing its total album sales to 80,000.
