Politiken is a leading Danish daily broadsheet newspaper, published by JP/Politikens Hus in Copenhagen, Denmark. It was founded in 1884 and played a role in the formation of the Danish Social Liberal Party. Since 1970 it has been independent of the party but maintains a liberal stance. It now runs an online newspaper, politiken.dk. The paper's design has won several international awards, and a number of its journalists have won the Cavling Prize.

Bonifika Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Koper, Slovenia. It is used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of FC Koper. The stadium was built in 1948 and got its name from the city area where it is situated. In 2010 the stadium underwent a major reconstruction and its current capacity is 4,047 seats.
Tomaž Šalamun was a Slovenian poet who was a leading figure of postwar neo-avant-garde poetry in Central Europe and an internationally acclaimed absurdist. His books of Slovene poetry have been translated into twenty-one languages, with nine of his thirty-nine books of poetry published in English. His work has been called a poetic bridge between old European roots and America. Šalamun was a member of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts. He lived in Ljubljana, Slovenia, and was married to the painter Metka Krašovec.

The Finance Business Daily is the only daily Slovenian business and financial newspaper. The idea to publish it had already been proposed by Iztok Jurančič before 1991, when Slovenia declared its independence. However, it was realized only in 1992. At first, the newspaper was published by the company Gospodarski Vestnik. Today, it is published by the Časnik Finance company, which is owned by the Swedish Bonnier Group and also publishes several other publications; for example, the magazines Manager and Moje finance, the healthcare newspaper Medicina danes, and the web portals Finance and Mojevro. As of 2008, the Finance Business Daily accounted for three quarter of the Časnik Finance company income. Before becoming a daily newspaper in 2002, Finance was issued twice weekly.
EkipaSN is a daily sports newspaper published in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

The Maritime Day is an anniversary in Slovenia dedicated to maritime activities and history. It is celebrated annually on 7 March. It was established with a decree by the Government of Slovenia on 7 March 1996. The event was celebrated with the unveiling of an eco-friendly ship in 2019 and with the opening of a centre for maritime traffic control and management in crisis situation in 2021.
