Princess Zein bint Al Hussein [1] (born 23 April 1968 [2] ) is the sister of King Abdullah II of Jordan and the twin sister of Princess Aisha bint Hussein.
She attended Westover School, where she captained the volleyball team and graduated in 1986; her father spoke at the commencement. [3] She married Sayyid Majdi Al-Saleh on 3 August 1989 (younger son of Sayyid Farid Al-Saleh). [Note 1] Together, they have two biological children: Ja'afar Al-Saleh, born 9 November 1990, and Jumana Al-Saleh. [2] They also have an adopted daughter, Tahani Al-Shahwa. [4]
Princess Zein has been involved in humanitarian efforts since the 1990s. She offered financial support to the Gulf Peace Team, a nonviolent protest group during the Gulf War. [5] [6] In 1997, King Hussein ordered Hashemiyeh Palace, then used to house foreign dignitaries, converted into an orphanage after learning of poor conditions for orphans in Amman. [7] He selected Princess Zein to run the new facility and act as its patron; it opened nine months later as Dar Al Bir. [8] [9] In 2013, she visited Miami Children's Hospital for a demonstration of telehealth programs. [10]
She and her husband also own Royal Ja'afar Stud, where they breed Arabian horses. [11]
Princess Zein and her half-sister Alia are also sisters-in-law.

Prince Ali bin Al Hussein is the third son of King Hussein of Jordan, and the second child of the king by his third wife, Queen Alia. He is also the half brother of King Abdullah II. He is a member of the Hashemite family, which has ruled Jordan since 1921 and claims to be a descendant of the Islamic prophet Muhammad.
Prince El Hassan bin Talal is a member of the Jordanian royal family who was previously Crown Prince from 1965 to 1999, being removed just three weeks before King Hussein's death. He is now 20th in line to succeed his nephew King Abdullah II.
Hamzah bin Al Hussein, is the fourth son of King Hussein bin Talal of Jordan overall and the first by his American-born fourth wife, Queen Noor. He was named Crown Prince of Jordan in 1999, a position he held until his older half-brother, King Abdullah II, rescinded it in 2004. He is a member of the Hashemite dynasty, the royal family of Jordan since 1921, and is a 41st-generation direct descendant of Muhammad. Hamzah is currently believed to be under house arrest since April 2021, after being accused of attempting to destabilise the Kingdom of Jordan and fomenting unrest. Hamzah renounced his title of prince in April 2022.
Princess Muna Al Hussein is the mother of Abdullah II of Jordan. She was the second wife of King Hussein; the couple divorced on 21 December 1972. She is British by birth, and changed her name to Muna Al Hussein upon marriage.
Dina bint Abdul-Hamid was a Hashemite princess and the Queen of Jordan from 1955 until 1957 as the first wife of King Hussein. She was the mother to Hussein's oldest child, Princess Alia bint Hussein. She and the king were married from 1955 to 1957, and in 1970 she married a high-ranking official in the PLO. She was a graduate of the University of Cambridge and a lecturer in English literature at Cairo University.
Princess Aisha bint Al Hussein is the sister of King Abdullah II of Jordan and is the twin sister of Princess Zein. Her parents are Princess Muna and King Hussein.
Princess Alia bint Al Hussein is the eldest child of King Hussein of Jordan. Her mother is his first wife, Sharifa Dina bint Abdul-Hamid.
Prince Faisal bin Al Hussein is a son of King Hussein and Princess Muna, and the younger brother of King Abdullah II. Periodically he has served as regent during his brother's absences abroad.
Prince Hashim bin Al Hussein is the younger of the two sons of King Hussein and Queen Noor of Jordan. In her autobiography, Queen Noor states that Hashim was named after the clan of Hashim, the tribe to which the Islamic prophet Muhammad and King Hussein belong. He is in the line of succession to the Jordanian throne.
Princess Iman bint Al Hussein is a Jordanian princess.
Princess Raiyah bint Al Hussein is the younger daughter of King Hussein of Jordan and Queen Noor. She has two brothers, Hamzah and Hashem, as well as an elder sister, Princess Iman. She is a half-sister to King Abdullah II of Jordan.

The Order of the Star of Jordan or The Order of Hussein ibn Ali is an award and military decoration of the sovereign state of Jordan and is awarded for military or civil merit. It was founded in honour of his father, by King Abdullah I on 22 June 1949. The Grand Cordon class was introduced by Hussein of Jordan on 23 September 1967. It is awarded to members of the Royal Family (Hashemite) in two classes. The award possesses 5 Grades; plus a medal. These may be awarded to anyone deserving. A Ribbon is issued for members of the military; Dark green with narrow purple edge stripes. Recipients use the postnomials SJ which are altered depending on the class awarded; GCSJ for Grand Cordon; GOSJ for Grand officer; CSJ for Commander; OSJ for Officer; and KSJ for Knight.
The wedding of Al Hussein bin Abdullah, Crown Prince of Jordan, and Rajwa Al Saif took place at Zahran Palace in Amman, Jordan on 1 June 2023.
