Provincial Highway 37 is a Taiwanese highway that starts from Xingang and ends in Lucao, both in Chiayi County. The highway connects THSR Chiayi Station with Chiayi City and Chiayi County, and runs along the underpass of the elevated viaduct for high-speed rail. The route length is 14.417 kilometres (8.958 mi) . [1]

Provincial Highway 61 (Taiwan) Road in Taiwan

Provincial Highway No. 61 is usually known as West Coast Expressway (西部濱海快速公路). The highway runs along the west coast of Taiwan. Several sections of the highway are freeway standards with no at-grade intersections, while the rest are local highway standards. There are several sections open for the traffic. Others are still under construction.

Alishan Forest Railway Railway in Taiwan

Alishan Forest Railway is an 86 km network of 2 ft 6 in narrow gauge railways running up to and throughout the popular mountain resort of Alishan in Chiayi County, Taiwan. The railway, originally constructed for logging, has become a tourist attraction with its unique Z-shaped switchbacks, and over 50 tunnels and 77 wooden bridges. Taiwan's Ministry of Culture has listed the forest railway as a potential World Heritage Site.

Provincial Highway 18 (Taiwan) Road in Taiwan

Taiwan Provincial Highway No. 18 is a highway between Taibao in Chiayi County to Provincial Highway No. 21 at Tatajia (Tataka) in Yushan National Park. It is also called the New Central Cross-Island Highway(新中橫公路) and Alishan Highway(阿里山公路). The highway connects Chiayi City and the rest of Western Taiwan to Alishan National Scenic Area and Yushan National Park. The overall length of the highway is 108.559 km.

Provincial Highway 1 is a 461.081 km (286.502 mi)-long Taiwanese provincial highway that starts in the north of the country near Taipei Main Station and ends in the south at Fangshan, Pingtung County. It intersects with Provincial Highway 9 and Provincial Highway 26. Before the freeway system was built in Taiwan, this was the primary north-south highway for the island. The highway connects most of the major cities in Taiwan. In most parts of Taiwan, the road is known as The North-South Highway (縱貫公路).

Provincial Highway 9 (Taiwan) Road in Taiwan

Provincial Highway No. 9 is an important highway across eastern Taiwan from Taipei City to Fangshan, Pingtung, Pingtung County. This provincial highway, at 476.1 km long, is the longest provincial highway in Taiwan and passes the regions of Taipei City, New Taipei City, Yilan County, Hualien County, Taitung County and Pingtung County.

Provincial Highway 2 (Taiwan) Road in Taiwan

Provincial Highway No. 2 (台2線) is an east-west, 167.674 km-long provincial Taiwanese highway that starts from the border of Taipei and Tamsui and ends in Su'ao, Yilan. Although designed as an east-west route, the highway actually goes in north-south direction in Yilan County and parts of New Taipei City. The highway serves as the primary road for the north coast cities in Taiwan.

Provincial Highway 3 (Taiwan) Road in Taiwan

Provincial Highway 3 is a 435.608 km-long Taiwanese highway that starts in Taipei and ends in Pingtung. Also known as Inner-Mountain Highway (內山公路), the road travels through the mountain towns in Western Taiwan and was the major route for the area until NH 3 was built.

Provincial Highway 17 (Taiwan) Road in Taiwan

Provincial Highway 17 (PH 17), Chinese: 台17線) is a north–south highway from Qingshui in Taichung City to Fangliao in Pingtung County. The highway is known as Western Coastal Highway (西部濱海公路) since it runs parallel to the western coasts of Taiwan. Since the completion of PH 61 expressway, which parallels PH 17, the latter now mostly handles local traffic. The total length of the highway is 273.474 kilometres (169.929 mi).

Provincial Highway 19 (Taiwan) Road in Taiwan

Provincial Highway 19 is a north–south highway from Changhua City in Changhua County to Yongkang in Tainan City. The highway is known as Central Highway (中央公路). The highway lies between the coastal PH 17 and the inland PH 1 which serves many of the major cities in central and southern Taiwan. The total length of the highway is 140.195 kilometres (87.113 mi).

Provincial Highway 22 (Taiwan) Road in Taiwan

Provincial Highway 22 is a highway that started from Nanzih District, just north of downtown Kaohsiung, and ended in Gaoshu, Pingtung County. The highway passes through Dashe, Yanchao, and Cishan in Kaohsiung City, and Ligang in Pingtung County. The highway is known as Qinan Highway (旗楠公路) for the stretch between Cishan and Nanzih. The route length is 34.321 km.

Provincial Highway 24 (Taiwan) Road in Taiwan

Provincial Highway 24 is a Taiwanese highway that started from Pingtung City and ended in Wutai. The entire highway is within Pingtung County. The highway is also known as Wutai Highway (霧台公路). The route length is 47.474 kilometres (29.499 mi) and connects the population centers in Pingtung to the mountainous aboriginal townships of Sandimen and Wutai.

Provincial Highway 26 (Taiwan) Road in Taiwan

Provincial Highway 26 is a Taiwanese highway that starts from Fangshan, Pingtung County and ends in Daren, Taitung County. The highway is also known as Ping-E Highway (屏鵝公路) for the stretch between Fangshan and Cape Eluanbi in Kenting National Park, and Jia-E Highway (佳鵝公路) between Cape Eluanbi and Jialeshui (佳樂水). It is the primary highway to Kenting National Park and the beaches in Kenting. The route length is 93.5 kilometres (58.1 mi).

Provincial Highway 27 (Taiwan) Road in Taiwan

Provincial Highway 27 is a Taiwanese highway that starts from Liouguei, Kaohsiung City and ends in Xinyuan, Pingtung, Pingtung County. The highway connects the inland townships in Kaohsiung and Pingtung to the southern coasts of Taiwan. The route length is 79.174 kilometres (49.196 mi).

The First 228 Peace Memorial Monument

The First 228 Peace Memorial Monument is a monument in East District, Chiayi City, Taiwan. It was built in 1989, which is the earliest 228 Peace Memorial Monument built in the island. It is the only 228 Peace Memorial Monument to have been built before the 1990s. It was built as a memorial of the February 28 Incident of 1947, in which more than 10,000 Taiwan residents were killed during an uprising against the government. The monument is one of the landmarks of Chiayi City.
