Pudhu Vasantham (transl. New Spring) is a 2023-2025 Indian Tamil-language television series that premiered on 26 June 2023 ended on 27 September 2025 by on Sun TV and streams digitally on Sun NXT. [3] It stars Soniya Suresh and Shyam Ji. The show was directed by R. Karthikeyan and produced by M. Paramesh under the banner of Peacock Studios and Sun Entertainment replaced by Iru Malargal. In late May 2023, the series was announced by Sun Entertainment, highlighting the issue of joint family. [4] The first promo of the series was released on 14 June 2023 and featured the female lead. [5]

Casting

Shyam Ji was cast as the protagonist Velu, by making this his first lead role. Actress Gowthami Vembunatham was cast as Velu's mother Karpagam. [6]

In July 2023, actress Shanthi Williams and Vaishnavi Nayak were signed. [7]
