Punjab Assembly Committee on Subordinate Legislation of Punjab Legislative Assembly is constituted annually for a one year period from among the members of the Assembly. This Committee consists of thirteen members. [1] [2]

Appointment

The speaker appoints the committee and its members every year for a one year term according to the powers conferred by Article 208 of the Constitution of India read with section 32 of the States Reorganisation Act, 1956 (37 of 1956), and in pursuance of Rules 232(1) and 2(b) of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Punjab Legislative Assembly. He is also the incharge of the Youth Wing of the Aam Aadmi Party in Punjab.

Baljinder Kaur is an Indian politician and member of the Punjab Legislative Assembly (MLA) representing Talwandi Sabo Assembly constituency. She is a member of the Aam Aadmi Party.

Election for the Sixteenth Legislative Assembly was held in the Indian state of Punjab. Polling was done on 20 February 2022 to elect the 117 members of the Punjab Legislative Assembly. The counting of votes declaration of results was done on 10 March 2022. The Fifteenth Punjab assembly was dissolved on 11 March 2022. The dissolution was necessitated after the results of the election was declared on 10 March.
