Punk Goes Acoustic 2 is the sixth compilation in the Punk Goes... series and the second installment in the Punk Goes Acoustic series created by Fearless Records. Like the first album it features previously unreleased and acoustic versions of songs from various pop punk bands.

CBGB was a New York City music club opened in 1973 by Hilly Kristal in Manhattan's East Village.
Yellowcard was an American rock band that formed in Jacksonville, Florida, in 1997 and were based in Los Angeles beginning in 2000. The band is well known for its singles "Ocean Avenue", "Only One", and "Lights and Sounds". The group's music is distinctive within its genre because it features the prominent use of a violin. The band released ten studio albums, with its most recent and final one, Yellowcard, released on September 30, 2016. The band played its final show on March 25, 2017, at the House of Blues in Anaheim, California.

Midtown was an American pop punk band from New Brunswick, New Jersey, United States. Midtown was formed in November 1998 by three Rutgers University students, but quickly became a quartet. The group released three full-length studio albums and three extended plays before disbanding in 2005. In early 2014, Midtown reunited to play three shows, the first as a secret show at The Knitting Factory in Brooklyn, and the two remaining at the Skate And Surf Festival.

He is best known as the lead singer for the 1990s re-incarnation of the Misfits from 1995 to 2000, leaving briefly in 1998. Graves grew up in Dumont, New Jersey. Punk Goes... is a series of pop albums released by Fearless Records in which punk rock bands perform covers of songs from other genres. As of 2019, the series consists of nineteen compilation albums.
Fearless Records is an American independent record label that was founded in 1992. Fearless is based in Culver City, California, and is best known for its early pop punk moments captured in the Fearless Flush Sampler and Punk Bites releases, as well as additional releases by bands such as Bigwig and Dynamite Boy; and later Sugarcult; Plain White T's; The Aquabats; Amely; and post-hardcore releases by At the Drive-In and Anatomy of a Ghost. However, the label has experimented with different styles in recent years. Acts such as Blessthefall, The Word Alive, Ice Nine Kills, Mayday Parade, Pierce The Veil, Starset and The Color Morale have showcased post-hardcore, metalcore and alternative rock bands that have emerged in recent years. Fearless Records' releases were distributed in the US by RED Distribution, but after Concord Music Group's purchase of the label in 2015, it is now distributed by Universal Music Group worldwide.
Punk Goes Acoustic is the third album in the Punk Goes... series and the first installment in the Punk Goes Acoustic series created by Fearless Records. It contains a collection of both previously released and unreleased songs by various artists performing acoustically. It was packaged with a bonus CD showcasing acts on the Fearless and Victory record labels. The album was released on October 21, 2003. This was the first Punk Goes... album to deviate from the theme of performing cover songs, though it was not the first to feature an original song, following The Aquabats' "Why Rock?" on Punk Goes Metal. As of 2019, there are a total of three albums in the franchise.
"Swing Life Away" is a song by American rock band Rise Against. It is an acoustic ballad, with a sharp guitar sound and optimistic lyrics about daily life and the working class. The song was first included in the 2003 compilation album Punk Goes Acoustic, and was later expanded upon in the band's 2004 album Siren Song of the Counter Culture.

Ice Nine Kills is an American metalcore band from Boston, Massachusetts who are signed to Fearless Records. Best known for its horror-inspired lyrics, Ice Nine Kills formed in its earliest incarnation in 2000 by high school friends Spencer Charnas and Jeremy Schwartz. The group originally pursued a style of ska-punk but have since shifted into a style which has been described as theatricore, metalcore, melodic hardcore, post-hardcore, heavy metal, symphonic metal. Charnas is currently the only remaining founding member.

State Champs is an American rock band from Albany, New York, formed in 2010. They are currently signed to Pure Noise Records and have released three EPs and three full-length albums. They released an acoustic EP titled The Acoustic Things in October 2014 and their second full-length album Around the World and Back one year later, in October 2015. In May 2017, they released a deluxe version of their album Around the World and Back, along with a DVD of footage from their last few tours. Their 2013 full-length, The Finer Things, debuted at number 2 on the Billboard Heatseekers Albums chart. Their third album, Living Proof, was released on June 15, 2018.
Punk Goes Christmas: Deluxe Edition is the seventeenth album in the Punk Goes... series by created by Fearless. It is a re-release of the Punk Goes Christmas that was released back in 2013. It contains the same songs as the 2013 version with four bonus track added as well as a slightly different track listing layout. Punk Goes Christmas: Deluxe Edition is one of the few albums which contains both covers as well as original songs. It is not however the first Punk Goes... album to feature an original song though, back in 2000 on the first ever Punk Goes... album Punk Goes Metal the song "Why Rock?" which was cover by the punk band The Aquabats! was credited to the fictional band Leather Pyrate but was in fact an original by The Aquabats! themselves. The only other albums to contain original songs besides Punk Goes Metal are Punk Goes Acoustic and Punk Goes Acoustic 2 which contain all original songs done acoustically. This album was released on November 27, 2015 as a digital download on both Google Play and Apple Music as well as iTunes.
Punk Goes Acoustic Vol. 3 is the nineteenth compilation album in the Punk Goes... series created by Fearless Records and the third installment in the Punk Goes Acoustic series. This is the first album in the series since 2015 that features any tracks that are original the last album to have any originals was Punk Goes Christmas: Deluxe Edition which contained both original and covers of Christmas-themed songs done by bands. This is also first Punk Goes Acoustic album to be released by Fearless in over a decade the last being Punk Goes Acoustic 2 back in 2007. The album contains 12 unreleased acoustic versions of previously released original songs done by various bands such as Set It Off, Taking Back Sunday, Underoath, As It Is, and more. The album was announced via Fearless Records on June 28, 2019. The album was released on July 26, 2019.
