Punk Goes Christmas is the fourteenth compilation album of the Punk Goes... series. It was released on 5 November 2013, through Fearless Records.

Background and release

This album, compared to the other albums in the Punk Goes... series received little press. The album was announced in a trailer posted online by Fearless Records in October 2013, along with the album's artwork and full track listing. [1] The album was released and available to stream online on November 4 the same year. [2] It is also one of the only Punk Goes... albums to contain original songs, however it does still contain cover songs.

Mark Deming from AllMusic praised the album's range of sounds, ranging from pop punk to metalcore. [3] Edward Strickson of Alter the Press! gave the album a 4/5 score, praising its surprisingly festive characteristics and went on to say that "Fool's Holiday" by All Time Low may be one of the best songs they have made. [4]

Deluxe edition

In November 2015, Fearless Records released a deluxe edition of Punk Goes Christmas with four additional tracks added to the original Punk Goes Christmas album. The songs on the album that were added were three additional covers and one new original song titled "12 Days of a Pop-Punk Christmas" performed by YouTube comedian Jarrod Alonge, credited to his fictitious YouTube band Sunrise Skater Kids. The first song from the deluxe edition is August Burns Red's cover of the Home Alone Theme, originally composed by John Williams.

Mayday Parade is an American rock band from Tallahassee, Florida. Their debut EP Tales Told by Dead Friends was released in 2006, and sold over 50,000 copies without any label support. In July 2007, Mayday Parade released their debut album A Lesson in Romantics. After signing to Fearless in 2006, the band also signed onto a major label with Atlantic in 2009. Their second studio album, Anywhere but Here was released in October 2009 and their third album, entitled Mayday Parade, was released in October 2011. Mayday Parade's fourth album, titled Monsters in the Closet, was released in October 2013. Their fifth album, titled Black Lines, was released October 2015. In April 2018, the band signed to Rise Records and released their sixth studio album Sunnyland on June 15, 2018. Their seventh studio album What It Means To Fall Apart, was released in 2021.

Punk Goes Pop Volume 03. is the tenth compilation album released from the Punk Goes... series created by Fearless Records and the third installment in the Punk Goes Pop franchise to feature various post-hardcore, metalcore and alternative rock bands covering mainstream pop songs. It was released on November 2, 2010. The album was also released with a bonus CD sampler which contains songs by various bands from the Rise and Fearless record labels. Additionally Japan's edition of the album contains two extra bonus tracks by Japanese bands covering pop songs. The album sold 18,000 copies.

Artist vs. Poet was an American power pop band from Fort Worth, Texas, United States, formed in late 2007 by Jason Dean, Craig Calloway, Jeff Olsen, Patrick Rigden, Joe Kirkland, Joe Westbrook, and Tarcy Thomason. After many changes in the band, Artist vs Poet is made up of Joe Kirkland, on vocals, guitar and keyboards, and Jason Dean, on bass and drums. Kirkland was also a contestant in the third season of the American NBC reality show The Voice.

He is also the former lead vocalist, keyboardist, and early backing vocalist of electronicore band Attack Attack!, and the owner of Studio Records in Columbus, Ohio. Shomo joined Attack Attack! as keyboardist at 15 years old while maintaining a passion for electronic music and eventually grew into record production by 18.

The album also included a second bonus sampler CD containing songs by bands from Fearless' record label.

Punk Goes Pop Volume 5 is the thirteenth compilation album in the Punk Goes... series created by Fearless Records and the fifth installment in the Punk Goes Pop series to contain bands covering mainstream pop music. It was released on November 6, 2012 through Fearless Records. The album debuted at number sixteen on the Billboard 200, selling more than 21,000 copies within its first week. The album spawned three singles to date. The first single off the album was Memphis May Fire's cover of Grenade by Bruno Mars, which was released on October 2, 2012. The album's second single off the album was Mayday Parade's cover of Somebody That I Used to Know by Gotye featuring New Zealand artist Kimbra, which also featured guest vocals by Vic Fuentes of the band Pierce The Veil, it sold more than 15,000 copies within the album's first week of release, debuting at numbers eighteen and nineteen on the Billboard Rock Songs and Heatseekers Songs charts, respectively., it was released on October 16, 2012. This is the first album in the series since 2015 that features any tracks that are original. This is also first Punk Goes Acoustic album to be released by Fearless in over a decade the last being Punk Goes Acoustic 2 back in 2007. The album contains 12 unreleased acoustic versions of previously released original songs done by various bands such as Set It Off, Taking Back Sunday, Underoath, As It Is, and more. The album was announced via Fearless Records on June 28, 2019. The album was released on July 26, 2019.
