For All Those Sleeping was an American metalcore band formed in Sartell, Minnesota in 2007. The band released three studio albums, Cross Your Fingers, Outspoken, and Incomplete Me, all of which featured the same line-up. They announced their breakup on October 9, 2014.
For All Those Sleeping was formed in 2007 while Mike Champa, Jerad Pierskalla, David Volgman-Stevens and Ethan Trekell were still attending Sartell High School. Their self-released their 2007 demo and 2008 EP "The Lies We Live" featured the band's original sound which combined melodic sounds with pop punk influences, and brutal breakdowns. The band would later add bassist/vocalist London Snetsinger, replacing guitarist/keyboardist David Volgman-Steven's duties as the band's main clean vocalist. As their local fanbase grew, the band gained the attention of Fearless Records, and were signed in May 2010. [3] [4]
During the following months, the band was announced as supporting acts for multiple bands. In May they were announced as supporting acts for a short June tour featuring Honor Bright with From First To Last [5] The band was also announced as support for Drop Dead Gorgeous's headlining tour along with Sleeping With Sirens, Attila, Abandon All Ships, Woe, Is Me and Scarlett O'Hara. On June 25, 2010, the band announced pre-order bundles for their forthcoming album, Cross Your Fingers set for a July 20, 2010 release. The band also released their debut single from the album, "Never Leave Northfield". [7] The second single, "Outbreak of Heartache" was released on July 13 through PureVolume [8]
Their debut, Cross Your Fingers, released on July 20, 2010, through Fearless Records, was met with mostly mixed reviews. [9]
Following the release of the album, the band toured extensively to promote their debut. On September 9, 2010, the band was announced as part of A Skylit Drive's November headlining tour with Motionless in White, Woe, Is Me and Scarlett O'Hara. [10]
The band contributed "Maybe This Christmas" to the Fearless Records' Christmas Compilation. [11]
On December 16, 2010, the band were announced as part of The Smart Punk Tour with The Word Alive, Upon a Burning Body, Abandon All Ships and The Color Morale beginning in March and ending in April. [12]
In May 2011, the band made an appearance at Bled Fest. [13] During 2011, the band participated in multiple tours, two prominent ones being the "2011 All Star Tour" in the summer, and the "Fearless Friends Tour" in the fall. They toured with After the Burial, Attila, Memphis May Fire, Motionless in White, Chelsea Grin and Sleeping With Sirens during the All Star, Tour [14] and with fellow Fearless acts blessthefall, Motionless in White and The Word Alive during the fall. August 17, 2011 the band was announced to support Falling in Reverse on their US headlining tour with Eyes Set to Kill beginning in September and ending in October. [16]
The band released a music video for their song, "I'm Not Dead Yet" from their debut album, "Cross Your Fingers" during early October. [17] The band later contributed their cover of Taylor Swift's song "You Belong With Me" as part of Fearless Records' Punk Goes Pop Volume 4. [18] [19]
On January 17, 2012, the band announced that they would be entering the studio with Cameron Mizell to begin recording their second album. [20] [21]
In February 2012 the band announced that they had finished recording their second album. [22]
On March 5, 2012, the band announced their spring US tour "The Soundrink Tour with direct support from In Fear and Faith, Dream On, Dreamer, Casino Madrid and Adestria. [23]
Outspoken was released on June 19, 2012. This released was met with mostly average to positive reviews, most noting their improvement in their overall sound, and lyrical content, [24] while also noting the stark similarities to other bands of their genre such as A Day to Remember. [25] Prior to and following their second release the band toured with In Fear and Faith, and Attack Attack!
On August 19, 2012, the band was announced as part of the 2012 Scream It Like You Mean It Tour along with Woe, Is Me, Impending Doom, Abandon All Ships, Secrets, and Volumes. [26]
On December 14, 2012, the band was announced as support for I See Stars' The Filthy February Tour with fellow supporting acts Get Scared, At the Skylines and Upon This Dawning. [27]
On February 4, 2013, the band released their music video for, "Mark My Words". [28] Towards the end of February the band was announced as support for Chunk! No, Captain Chunk!'s long-awaited US headlining tour with fellow support from City Lights and Upon This Dawning. [29]
On April 4, 2013, the band was announced as part of the 2013 All Stars Tour alongside fellow acts; Every Time I Die, Chelsea Grin, Veil of Maya, Terror, Stray from the Path, Capture the Crown, Iwrestledabearonce, Dayshell and Volumes. On August 21, 2013, the band was announced as part of the Rise Up Tour supporting A Skylit Drive's new release with fellow supporting acts Wolves at the Gate, I the Mighty, and PVRIS. [30] The band performed as part of Warped Tour Australia in November and December. [31]
On January 1, 2014, the band was announced to be working on new music based on Fearless Records YouTube video announcing music being released by the label in the coming year by label artist. [32]
On March 6, 2014, the band announced they would be playing all of Warped Tour 2014, along with PVRIS, The Summer Set, Get Scared, Dangerkids, DayShell, Heart to Heart, Pacific Dub, DJ Nicola Bear, Watsky, Wax and One oK Rock. [33]
On May 7, 2014, the band announced that they would be releasing a new album, Incomplete Me through Fearless Records on June 23 during their time on this years Warped Tour. [34] Incomplete Me was released to mostly mixed to positive reviews, but charted at #2 on both the iTunes Rock and the iTunes Metal Charts.
The group announced on their Facebook page on October 9, 2014, that they had disbanded and would be playing two more final shows, with support from Out Came The Wolves. [35] [36]
For All Those Sleeping have been described as a fusion of metalcore, [37] and pop punk [38] that is influenced by emo, [39] screamo, [40] and post-hardcore. [41]

Their band name is a reference to the famous children's author Shel Silverstein, who the band had admired and whose work they had read as children. Fearless Records is an American independent record label that was founded in 1994. Fearless is based in Culver City, California, and is best known for its early pop punk moments captured in the Fearless Flush Sampler and Punk Bites releases, as well as additional releases by bands such as Bigwig and Dynamite Boy; and later Sugarcult; Plain White T's; The Aquabats; Amely; and post-hardcore releases by At the Drive-In and Anatomy of a Ghost. Pierce the Veil is an American rock band formed in San Diego, California, in 2006. It was founded by brothers Vic and Mike Fuentes after the disbanding of Before Today, which formed out of the San Diego punk scene. Jaime Preciado and Tony Perry joined the group in 2007, on bass and lead guitar respectively.

Every Avenue is an American pop-punk band from Marysville, Michigan, formed in 2003. The group's most prevalent line-up consisted of David Ryan Strauchman, Joshua Randall Withenshaw, James Francis Deeghan, Matthew Franklin Black and Michael Joseph Govaere. The band is signed to Fearless Records and released their debut album, Shh, Just Go with it in 2008. It was followed up by their second album, Picture Perfect, in 2009, which reached no. 136 on the Billboard 200 chart. In 2011, the band's third and latest album, Bad Habits, was released, peaking at no. 63 on the Billboard 200 – the band's highest chart position. Every Avenue has toured with bands such as Boys Like Girls; Mayday Parade, The Maine, and All Time Low on the latter's The Compromising of Integrity, Morality and Principles in Exchange for Money Tour; and have also been a part of the Vans Warped Tour. As of 2023, Strauchman is the sole member of Every Avenue.
A Skylit Drive is an American post-hardcore band from Lodi, California. The band has released one DVD, one EP and five studio albums: Wires...and the Concept of Breathing (2008), Adelphia (2009), Identity on Fire (2011), Rise (2013) and, most recently, ASD (2015). The band has toured internationally both as headliner and supporting act. In 2017, the band broke up after a dispute between Nick Miller and Michael Jagmin. Original vocalist Jordan Blake died in April 2023.

Abandon All Ships was a Canadian post-hardcore band from Toronto, Ontario. Formed in 2006, it was signed domestically to Universal Music Canada via Underground Operations, along with an American deal to Rise Records and its imprint Velocity Records.
The Word Alive is an American metalcore band formed in Phoenix, Arizona, in 2008. The band was signed to Fearless Records since their formation. In 2022, they changed their label and signed to Thriller Records. The band currently consists of vocalist Tyler Smith, guitarist Jose DelRio, and drummer Daniel Nelson. The group has had several line-up changes throughout their career, with no founding members remaining. Their second EP, Empire reached No. 15 on the Top Heatseekers, meeting a great amount of positive acclaim upon its release in 2009. The following year, the group recorded and released their debut studio album, Deceiver on August 31, 2010, which reached No. 97 on the Billboard 200 and 15 on Independent Albums.

Capture were an Australian metalcore band formed in early 2010 after the break-up of another metalcore outfit, Atlanta Takes State. The band rose to prominence under their original name Capture the Crown when they released the music video for their song, "You Call That a Knife? This Is a Knife!" (2011) on YouTube. The band was signed to Sumerian Records in December 2012 but were dropped in October the following year. Since their formation they have issued two studio albums, 'Til Death, which appeared on three Billboard component charts Top Hard Rock (No. 21), Top Heatseekers (No. 7), and Top Independent Albums (No. 25), and Reign of Terror, which charted at #86 on the U.S. Billboard 200. In August 2013 the group announced the proposed release of an extended play, Live Life, which was released on 4 February 2014. Later in 2014, they announced that they had signed with Artery Recordings. In March 2017, the group shortened its name to simply Capture and unveiled a new song under the new title.
Chunk! No, Captain Chunk! is a French rock band formed in 2007 in Paris. The band consists of vocalist Bertrand Poncet, guitarists Éric Poncet and Paul Wilson and bassist Mathias Rigal, with founding drummer Jonathan Donnaes leaving in 2014 to be replaced by Bastien Lafaye.

State Champs is an American pop-punk band from Albany, New York, formed in 2010. They are currently signed to Pure Noise Records and have released three EPs and five full-length albums. Their 2013 debut album The Finer Things debuted at number 2 on the Billboard Heatseekers Albums chart.
