Purushan Kadalundy (born 15 November 1957;Kadalundi) is a member of 13th Kerala Legislative Assembly. He belongs to Communist Party of India (Marxist) and represents Balussery constituency. [1] [2]
He started his political career through K.S.Y.F. He was arrested for presenting the play Pattini (hunger) during national emergency. He has received Jyothi Bahulae National Award of Kendra Dalit Sahitya Academy (2002),Abu Dhabi Sakthi Award (2005),Sreekantan Nair Smaraka Puraskaram,V.K. Krishana Menon Award,Thoppil Bhasi Award and National Safety Award. He has served as the secretary of Kerala Sahitya Academy. Presently,he is the state vice president of Purogamana Kala Sahitya Sangam and member of Samskarika Kshemanithi Board. He is also the director of Kerala SC/ST Development Corporation and Chairman of Orchard Theatre for Children.
He is the son of P.K Kanaran and Ammalukutty. He is a playwright,and writer. He is married to M.C Chandrika and has three sons. He resides at Chevarambalam,Kozhikode.

Yusufali Kechery was a poet,film lyricist,film producer and director from Kerala,India. He wrote during the modern era of Malayalam poetry and won the Odakkuzhal Award,the Kerala Sahitya Academy Award and the Vallathol Award.
Panayanthitta Kunhiraman Nair,also known as Mahakavi P,was an Indian writer of Malayalam literature. He was known for his romantic poems which detailed the natural beauty of his home state of Kerala in South India as well as the realities of his life and times. Chandrashekhara Kambara is a prominent Indian poet,playwright,folklorist,film director in Kannada language and the founder-vice-chancellor of Kannada University in Hampi also president of the Sahitya Akademi,country's premier literary institution,after Vinayak Krishna Gokak (1983) and U.R. Vennikkulam Gopala Kurup (1902–1980) was an Indian poet,playwright,translator,lexicographer and story writer of Malayalam. He was the author of a number of poetry anthologies,besides other works,and he translated Abhijnana Shakuntalam,Tulsi Ramayana,Tirukkuṛaḷ,the poems of Subramania Bharati and two cantos of The Light of Asia of Edwin Arnold into Malayalam. He also contributed in the preparation of a dictionary,Kairali Kosham. A recipient of the Odakkuzhal Award and Thirukural Award,Kurup received the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award for Poetry in 1966. Sahitya Akademi honoured him with their annual award in 1974.
Thottathimyalil Mathew Abraham is an Indian theatre director and playwright. He is the former Vice Chairman of the Kerala Sangeetha Nadaka Academy. He is also the recipient of the Kerala Sangeetha Nadaka Academy awards for playwriting,Kerala Sahitya Academy Award for the play Peruthachan and the Government of Kerala award for best play direction.

Sreekantan Nair (1928–1976) was an Indian independence activist,a Malayalam writer,short story writer,playwright and screenwriter,best known for his Ramayana trilogy –Kanchana Sita,Saketham and Lankalakshmi. His oeuvre consists of 10 plays,4 short story anthologies,book of non-fiction and collected works. Kerala Sahitya Akademi awarded him their annual award for drama in 1962. He was also a recipient of the M. P. Paul Prize.
