Puta is a settlement and municipality in Baku, Azerbaijan.[ citation needed ] It has a population of 1,253. Puta hosts the main naval base of the Azerbaijani Navy. The Puta Base is the largest military facility in the Caspian Sea basin. [2]

On 28 January 2021 it was announced that he is no longer serving as the chief of staff, and Karim Valiyev took his position on 23 July of that year.

He had taken part in the First Nagorno-Karabakh War, the 2016 Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and the 2020 Nagorno-Karabakh war, in which he was killed. He had received the title of the Hero of the Patriotic War for his service during the war.
