Pygsuia is a genus in the clade of Breviatea, which are basal eukaryotes. [2] This genus contains only one species, Pygsuia biforma, which is known for its long flagella compared to other breviates.
The genus name, Pygsuia, is derived from a part of the University of Arkansas Razorbacks sports cheer, which goes "Wooo Pig Sooie ". This is because the species has a row of structures similar to those of actual razorbacks. "Pyg" in the genus name refers to pigs while also referencing the Latin term Pygmae, as a nod to the organisms' small size. "Sui" in the genus name refers to the sound made by hog callers. As a consequence, the full genus name means "little pig" in mock Latin. [1]

In biology, taxonomy is the scientific study of naming, defining (circumscribing) and classifying groups of biological organisms based on shared characteristics. Organisms are grouped into taxa and these groups are given a taxonomic rank; groups of a given rank can be aggregated to form a more inclusive group of higher rank, thus creating a taxonomic hierarchy. "Candidatus Pelagibacter", with the single species "Ca. P. communis", was isolated in 2002 and given a specific name, although it has not yet been described as required by the bacteriological code. "Ca. P. communis" and its relatives may be the most abundant organisms in the ocean, and quite possibly the most abundant bacteria in the entire world. It can make up about 25% of all microbial plankton cells, and in the summer they may account for approximately half the cells present in temperate ocean surface water. The total abundance of "Ca. P. communis" and relatives is estimated to be about 2 × 1028 microbes.
Mollicutes is a class of bacteria distinguished by the absence of a cell wall. The word "Mollicutes" is derived from the Latin mollis, and cutis. Individuals are very small, typically only 0.2–0.3 μm in size and have a very small genome size. They vary in form, although most have sterols that make the cell membrane somewhat more rigid. Many are able to move about through gliding, but members of the genus Spiroplasma are helical and move by twisting. The best-known genus in the Mollicutes is Mycoplasma. Colonies show the typical "fried-egg" appearance.

In taxonomy, an undescribed taxon is a taxon that has been discovered, but not yet formally described and named. The various Nomenclature Codes specify the requirements for a new taxon to be validly described and named. Until such a description has been published, the taxon has no formal or official name, although a temporary, informal name is often used. A published scientific name may not fulfil the requirements of the Codes for various reasons. For example, if the taxon was not adequately described, its name is called a nomen nudum. It is possible for a taxon to be "undescribed" for an extensive period of time, even if unofficial descriptions are published.
Boar–pig hybrid is a hybridized offspring of a cross between the Eurasian wild boar and any domestic pig. Feral hybrids exist throughout Eurasia, the Americas, Australia, and in other places where European settlers imported wild boars to use as game animals. Breviatea, commonly known as breviate amoebae, are a group of free-living, amitochondriate protists with uncertain phylogenetic position. They are biflagellate, and can live in anaerobic (oxygen-free) environments. They are currently placed in the Obazoa clade. They likely do not possess vinculin proteins. Their metabolism relies on fermentative production of ATP as an adaptation to their low-oxygen environment.
Paralitherizinosaurus is an extinct genus of therizinosaurid dinosaur from the Late Cretaceous Osoushinai Formation of Hokkaido, Japan. The genus contains a single species, P. japonicus, known from a partial right hand and cervical vertebra. Paralitherizinosaurus represents the youngest therizinosaur known from Japan.
Nepenthes pudica is a tropical pitcher plant known from a handful of localities in the Mentarang Hulu district of North Kalimantan, Borneo, where it occurs at 1100–1300 m above sea level. It is notable for producing achlorophyllous subterranean stems bearing functional underground pitchers; very few pitchers are produced above ground.
