Quinn Pelland (born 11 May 1999) is a Canadian female volleyball player. She was part of the Canada women's national volleyball team and competed at the 2023 FIVB Volleyball Women's Olympic Qualification Tournaments.
Pelland was born 11 May 1999 and grew up in Wanham, Alberta. She attended Mount Royal University in Calgary, where she studied Business Administration and Management. [2]
While studying at Mount Royal University, Pelland played for the university's volleyball team. In 2022, she played as team captain and was named to the Canada West First All-Star team [3] and the U Sports Second Team All-Canadian team. [4] In February of the following year, she was named both Canada West and U Sports Volleyball Player of the Week. [5] [2] At the end of the season, she received the university's Brian Fleming Award, which is presented annually to two "student-athletes who excel in academics, athletics and the community". [6] She was also named the women volleyball team's most valuable player. [6]
In July 2023, Pelland signed a contract to play volleyball professionally with Pays d'Aix Venelles in France. [7]
The 2023, Pelland was selected for Volleyball Canada's 2023 Women's NextGen team, which helps prepare players for Canada's women's national volleyball team. [8] She also competed at the 2023 FIVB Volleyball Women's Olympic Qualification Tournaments, [9] where Canada placed third, falling just short of qualifying for the 2024 Summer Olympics.

The 31 participating teams compete in a regular season and following intra-conference playoffs, eight teams are selected to play in a national tournament to compete for the U Sports men's volleyball championship.
The 2022 U Sports Women's Volleyball Championship was held March 25–27, 2022, in Calgary, Alberta, to determine a national champion for the 2021–22 U Sports women's volleyball season. The top-seeded Trinity Western Spartans defeated the seventh-seeded Mount Royal Cougars to win the second championship in program history.
The 2008 CIS Women's Volleyball Championship was held February 28, 2008 to March 1, 2008, in Fredericton, New Brunswick, to determine a national champion for the 2007–08 CIS women's volleyball season. The tournament was played at the Aitken University Centre and was hosted by the University of New Brunswick. It was the first time that the University of New Brunswick had hosted the tournament.
The Mount Royal Cougars women's ice hockey program represents Mount Royal University in Calgary, Alberta in the sport of ice hockey in the Canada West Universities Athletic Association conference of U Sports. The Cougars have won one national championship, in 2023. Prior to joining Canada West, the Cougars were a member of the Alberta Colleges Athletics Conference, winning five conference championships.
