Racing Club Baho XIII who are more commonly known as RC Baho XIII are a semi-professional rugby league team based in the town of Baho in the region of Pyrenees-Orientales in southern France. Their home ground is the Stade Municipal de Baho and they are coached by Didier Meynard.
During the mid eighties RC Baho XIII reached three consecutive National 2 now called National Division 1 finals. Losing the first one in season 84/85 against Palau XIII Broncos 15-24, they gained revenge in 1985/86 beating Palau XIII Broncos 34-20, then lost 6-7 against US Trentels XIII in 1987. This sudden burst of finals appearances was quickly extinguished and the club wouldn't reach another final for another 22 years. 2008/09 was the season when the club would embark on another flurry of finals appearances but this time with more success and for a more sustained period and at the higher second tier level the Elite Two Championship. In that first season they finished runner-up behind Corbeil XIII having lost the final 14-30, semi-finalists the following season was followed by another runners-up spot losing this time to RC Lescure-Arthes XIII 0-12. After another semi-final appearance in 2011/12 more disappointment followed the next season when they had to settle for runner-up again, losing on this occasion to their rivals from the eighties, Palau XIII Broncos 22-26, Finally in 2013/14 they lifted the title when they beat the favourites RC Albi 18-12. Semi-finalists in 2015 preceded a 5th place in 2015/16. The following season the club finished top of the table again but were beaten in the final by Villefranche XIII Aveyron. Back in 2009 the club set up its first rugby school and in 2014 the juniors won the Cup of France. [1]
In July 2023, with the club suffering from financial difficulties, it was announced that they had withdrawn from the Elite 2 championship and that the club would go dormant for the 2023–24 season. [2] In August 2023, the formation of a new club, Toulouges-Baho Falcons, was announced. [3] The new venture proved successful in their first season with the Falcons winning the National Division 3 by defeating Villeneuve Minervois XIII 28–6 in the final. [4]
The club have always played at the Stade Municipal de Baho a ground owned by the local town council. Both rugby and football are played. A renovation took place in 2015 which included the installing of three small seating stands each holding 70 spectators. [5]
The Coupe de France Lord Derby, or just Coupe Lord Derby, is the premier knockout competition for the sport of rugby league football in France, as well as the name of its championship trophy. The tournament was first contested in 1934–35, which also marked the inaugural season of the French Rugby League Championship.

Lyon Villeurbanne XIII are a semi-professional rugby league club from the town of Lyon, Rhône-Alpes in France. Formed in 1934 they are one of the oldest clubs in France. During the 1950s they won both the league and cup. They currently play in the Elite Two Championship which is the second tier. Their home stadium is the Stade Georges Lyvet and their player-coach for 2018-19 season is Sebastien Aguerra.
Villefranche XIII Aveyron is a semi-professional rugby league club based in Villefranche-de-Rouergue, Aveyron in southern France. Formed in 1950, they currently play in the Super XIII. Their home stadium is currently the Stade Henri Lagarde.
Montpellier XIII Red Devils are a semi-professional rugby league club based in Montpellier, in the region of Herault, France. They currently play in the National Division 2. Their home ground is the Stade Sabathé.
Elite 2 is the second tier semi-professional rugby league competition in France below Super XIII, but above the National Division 1. The season runs from September to April. The clubs play each other home and away before entering into a series of play-off matches resulting in a Grand Final. The winners can gain promotion to Super XIII providing they meet a minimum criteria. Occasionally the runners-up could be offered promotion.

The season 2008/09 was the sixth year under the title Elite One Championship the top level rugby league competition in France. The season ran from October to May. Ten clubs competed for the title playing 20 rounds in the league before the top five progressed to the end of season play-offs. UTC who had finished 5th were not allowed to take their place in the play-offs, their place was given to RC Carpentras XIII. Pia XIII were beaten by Lézignan Sangliers in a repeat of the previous two finals, and AS Carcassonne knocked out Carpentras. At the second stage Lezignan shocked league leaders Limoux Grizzlies 20-18 away to reach the final in the other game Carcassonne eliminated Pia. In the elimination final Limoux thrashed Carcassonne 41-16. The final was held at Carcassonne's Stade Albert Domec and defending champions Lézignan Sangliers beat Limoux Grizzlies 40-32. At the other end of the table Lyon Villeurbanne XIII were relegated. In the Lord Derby cup final AS Carcassonne beat Limoux Grizzlies to complete a winless campaign for Limoux.
