"RD" (an abbreviation of Republica Dominicana in Spanish, Dominican Republic in English) is a song by Puerto Rican rapper Anuel AA and Puerto Rican rapper and singer Ozuna. It was released through Real Hasta la Muerte and Aura Music as the fifth track from their collaborative studio album, Los Dioses , on January 22, 2021. Anuel AA and Ozuna wrote the song with the Colombian producer Ovy on the Drums, alongside Felix Ozuna.
On January 19, 2021, Anuel AA and Ozuna announced their collaborative album Los Dioses, and "RD" was included as the fifth track. The song was previewed by both artists one day before its release in Los Dioses: El Documental, a documental movie showing the process of making of the album. [1] [2]
Billboard describes the song as "a sensual trap song about reliving a connection in the Caribbean island". In "RD", Anuel AA and Ozuna are showing their respect for Dominican Republic. While Ozuna is half Dominican, Anuel AA describes the country as "his second home". [3]

Juan Carlos Ozuna Rosado , known simply by his surname Ozuna, is a Puerto Rican singer, born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico to a Dominican father and a Puerto Rican mother. Five of his studio albums have topped the Billboard Top Latin Albums chart, with Aura (2018) charting at number seven on the Billboard 200. His musical style is primarily defined as reggaeton and Latin trap, although he has collaborated with several artists from different genres and his music takes influences from a wide variety of genres, including pop, rock, hip hop, R&B, reggae, bachata, dembow, and electronic, amongst others.
Emmanuel Gazmey Santiago, known professionally as Anuel AA, is a Puerto Rican rapper and singer. His music often contains samples and interpolations of songs that were popular during his youth. He is seen as a controversial figure in the Latin music scene for his legal troubles and feuds with fellow Puerto Rican rappers Cosculluela, Ivy Queen, and Arcángel as well as American rapper 6ix9ine. Raised in Carolina, Puerto Rico, he started recording music at age fourteen and began posting it online four years later in 2014, before eventually signing to the Latin division of fellow American rapper Rick Ross's Maybach Music Group. His 2016 mixtape Real Hasta la Muerte was well-received, but his success was put on hold the same year by a 30-month prison sentence for illegal firearm possession in Puerto Rico. He recorded the entirety of his debut album while incarcerated, during which time his genre of music surged in popularity.
