Las Leyendas Nunca Mueren is the third solo studio album by Puerto Rican rapper Anuel AA. It was released on November 26, 2021, through Real Hasta la Muerte and Sony Music Latin. The album follows his second studio album Emmanuel (2020), and his collaboration album with Ozuna, Los Dioses (2021). [3]

Background

In August 2020, Anuel AA uploaded a preview of a song, called "300" and wrote: "I will make an album for the trap, should I?".[ citation needed ]

Anuel AA announced his upcoming album in May 2021 in an Instagram live. His manager Frabián Elí confirmed that the album would be released in July and will include trap and only two reggaeton songs.[ citation needed ] Later he announced via Instagram that the album had been delayed.[ citation needed ]

The title was revealed in August 2021 when Anuel uploaded an Instagram post with the name of his next album. The photo was from the official video of the song "23 Preguntas". [4]

In September 2021, Anuel uploaded a freestyle preview on Instagram, claiming that the album was finished. The unreleased track samples "Ready or Not" by the Fugees. [5]

On November 18, 2021, Anuel AA announced the track listing for the album via the final basketball game between Capitanes de Arecibo and Mets de Guaynabo. The names and numbers of the tracks were on the warm-up shirts of the Capitanes team.[ citation needed ]

Singles

Anuel AA released the first two singles of the album, "Dictadura" on October 28, 2021 [6] and "Leyenda" on November 12, 2021. Puerto Rican rappers Myke Towers and Jhayco featured on the third single of the album, "Súbelo".

Emmanuel Gazmey Santiago, known professionally as Anuel AA, is a Puerto Rican rapper and singer. His music often contains samples and interpolations of songs that were popular during his youth. He is seen as a controversial figure in the Latin music scene for his legal troubles and feuds with fellow Puerto Rican rappers Cosculluela, Ivy Queen and Arcángel as well as American rapper 6ix9ine. Raised in Carolina, Puerto Rico, he started recording music at age fourteen and began posting it online four years later in 2010, before eventually signing to the Latin division of fellow American rapper Rick Ross's Maybach Music Group. His 2016 mixtape Real Hasta la Muerte was well-received, but his success was put on hold the same year by a 30-month prison sentence for illegal firearm possession in Puerto Rico. He recorded the entirety of his debut album while incarcerated, during which time his genre of music surged in popularity.

The production on the album was handled by multiple producers including: Tainy, DJ Luian, Ovy on the Drums, Foreign Teck, Súbelo Neo, Mambo Kingz and Mvsis. The pair previously collaborated on numerous singles, including "China", "Adicto", "Brindemos" and "Cambio".

"Pasatiempo" is a song by Puerto Rican rapper Daddy Yankee featuring compatriot rapper Myke Towers, released as the fifth single from the former's eighth and final studio album, Legendaddy, on July 28, 2022. Its music video was directed by José Sagaró, was shot in Puerto Rico and depicts both artists performing at a house party, around a bonfire and in a "black and white minimalistic setting", incorporating "vintage elements". LLNM2 is the fourth solo studio album by Puerto Rican rapper and singer Anuel AA. It was released on December 9, 2022, through Real Hasta la Muerte and Sony Music Latin. Formerly announced as an EP with the title Me Fui de Gira, the project follows his studio album Las Leyendas Nunca Mueren (2021) as its second part.
