In July 2018, RTIC changed its name from RTIC Coolers to RTIC Outdoors. [7]

In November 2018, RTIC opened a 10,000-square-foot retail store in Katy, Texas. [3] [8]

In September 2020, RTIC was acquired by Wind Point Partners, a Chicago-based private equity firm. [9]

In 2023, RTIC became the official cooler and drinkware sponsor of the NASCAR Cup Series. [10]
