RTV (Bengali : আরটিভি) is a satellite television channel broadcast from Bangladesh. It was launched on 26 December 2005. [1] It mainly broadcasts programs in Bengali. The head office of this TV channel is in Kawran Bazar, Dhaka.

Bengali, also known by its endonym Bangla, is an Indo-Aryan language primarily spoken by the Bengalis in South Asia. It is the official and most widely spoken language of Bangladesh and second most widely spoken of the 22 scheduled languages of India, behind Hindi. In 2015, 160 million speakers were reported for Bangladesh, and the 2011 Indian census counted another 100 million.

In 2012, RTV began to broadcast all its content live-online to viewers around the globe through the website Viewers World.

History

On 26 February 2007, a fire broke out at the building from which programs were broadcast; as a result, the station was taken off the air temporarily. Three people died and over 100 were injured in the blaze.

Radiotelevizija Slovenija organization

In the anniversary of the channel, the founder expressed interest in creating NTV2 to satisfy the watchers further. The channel broadcasts coverage of news, soap operas, educational, religious and politics related programs. NTV is owned by Mosaddek Ali Falu, a businessman. He was leader & vice president of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party. He resigned from his post on 2016.

MTA International is a globally-broadcasting, nonprofit satellite television network and a division of Al Shirkatul-Islamiyyah which consists of 4 international channels that are run and funded entirely from donations by members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.

KDCG-CD

KDCG-CD, Channel 22 in Carencro, Louisiana, is a Class-A television station affiliated with Weigel Broadcasting's Heroes & Icons. It signed on as a local independent TV station serving the Opelousas, LA area in 1996 with a focus on family entertainment programming and broadcasting local news. The station gained its first network affiliation by affiliating with Pax in 1998. It has had numerous affiliations, primary and secondary, ever since. It was previously associated with Antenna TV, Retro Television Network, America One network, along with programming from The Sportsman Channel, FamilyNet, America's Voice, and the Pandamerica Shopping Network. Although KDCG served as Lafayette's Pax affiliate from the network's start in 1998, but dropped the network when the Lafayette cable system chose to add Pax's national feed to its lineup instead of the local station due to signal reception issues.

Channel S

Channel S is a UK-based, free-to-air television channel targeting the British Bangladeshi community. The channel was established on 16 December 2004, by Mahee Ferdous Jalill – a Bangladeshi businessman in London. On Sky it had a timesharing deal with ATN Global, and then in 2005 it started to broadcast for 24 hours, 7 days a week, and is currently available on Sky channel 814. As well as that, their shows such as 'Channel S News' tend to copy sounds from other companies such as the BBC. The channel claims to be the "Voice of British Bangladeshis across the world", and its slogan "Working for the community", broadcasting mainly in Bengali and occasionally in Sylheti, and programmes suiting the community needs.

Ekushey Television (ETV) is a private satellite television channel in Bangladesh. It broadcasts from Kawran Bazar, Dhaka. Ekushey Television is the first Bangladeshi private television channel to broadcast national and international news in Bangladesh. Its official transmission began on 14 April 2000.

KFLA-LD

KFLA-LD is a digital low-power television station licensed to Los Angeles, California. It currently broadcasts NewsNet on its main channel (8.1), The Country Network on 8.2, Corner Store TV on 8.3, Cheddar on 8.4, and Jewelry Television on 8.5. The station broadcasts digitally on VHF channel 8, and is the first station located at Mount Wilson to broadcast solely with a digital signal. As of April 2019, subchannel 8.6 broadcasts only color bars.
