Venkat Kumar Gangai Amaren, better known by his stage name Venkat Prabhu, is an Indian film director, actor and playback singer in Tamil cinema. In addition, he also worked in Telugu Cinema. After completing his education, he began pursuing an acting career, with his first three ventures featuring him in a starring role, failing to release, following which he began appearing in character roles.
Srikanth Deva is an Indian music director of Tamil films. He made his debut as music director in the Tamil movie Doubles in 2000. He is the son of composer Deva, nephew of the famous music director duo Sabesh–Murali and the cousin of actor Jai. In 2023, Srikanth Deva was awarded the National Film Award – Special Mention for composing music for a Tamil short film called Karuvarai (2021).

Chennai 600028 is a 2007 Indian Tamil-language sports comedy film written and directed by Venkat Prabhu in his directorial debut. It stars Jai, Shiva, Premji, Aravind Akash, Nithin Sathya and newcomers Ajay Raj, Vijay Vasanth, Prasanna, Inigo Prabakaran, Karthik and Arun in the lead along with Vijayalakshmi Feroz and Kristine Zedek, making their acting debuts as well. The film was produced by S. P. B. Charan along with J. K. Saravana, a Singapore-based award-winning producer. The film's score and soundtrack were composed by Premji Amaran and Yuvan Shankar Raja respectively.
Karakattakkaran is a 1989 Indian Tamil-language romantic comedy dance film written and directed by Gangai Amaran. The film stars Ramarajan and debutant Kanaka, while Santhana Bharathi, Chandrasekhar, Goundamani, Senthil, Shanmugasundaram, Raja Bahadur, Gandhimathi and Kovai Sarala play supporting roles. The film was released on 26 July 2013. It had a good opening and finally declared as an above average hit in the boxoffice. The film's title is based on a song from Velayudham (2011).

It is the 100th album of Yuvan Shankar Raja. In this album, there are 6 songs and two remixes with lyrics written by Gangai Amaran, Vaali, Madhan Karky, Psycho.unit, Gaana Bala, Tanvi Shah and Yuvan Himself. The film also features Karthi, its protagonist, debuting as a Playback singer. After multiple postponements, the soundtrack album was released on 21 August 2013.

Enga Ooru Rasathi is a 1980 Indian Tamil-language film, directed and produced by N. S. Rajendran. The film stars Sudhakar and Radhika, with Goundamani and S. R. Vijaya in supporting roles. It was released on 4 October 1980, and did not do well at the box office.
Kodaikanal is a 2008 Tamil language thriller film directed by T. K. Bose. The film stars newcomers Ashwanth Thilak, Poorna and Sekar, with Kandeepan, Vadivukkarasi, Senthil, Scissor Manohar, Alex, Bayilvan Ranganathan and Vijay Krishnaraj playing supporting roles. The film, produced by R. Swarnalakshmi, was released on 14 November 2008.
Thambi Arjuna is a 2010 Tamil-language action film directed by Vijay R. Anand. The film stars Ramana, newcomer Feroz Khan and Ashima Bhalla, with Arun Pandian, Suman, newcomer Sharmila, Bala Singh and Rajendran playing supporting roles. It was released on 30 July 2010. It is dubbed into Hindi as Bhai Arjuna.

Masss is the soundtrack album to the 2015 film Massu Engira Masilamani directed by Venkat Prabhu and produced by Studio Green, starring Suriya, Nayanthara, Pranitha Subhash, Premgi Amaren, Parthiban and Samuthirakani. Prabhu's norm collaborator Yuvan Shankar Raja composed the film's soundtrack and score while Gangai Amaran, Madhan Karky and Viveka wrote the lyrics.
