Ragh is a town in Badakhshan Province in north-eastern part of Afghanistan. [1] It is the capital of Raghistan District.

Badakhshan is a historical region comprising parts of modern-day north-eastern Afghanistan, eastern Tajikistan, and Taxkorgan Tajik Autonomous County in China. Badakhshan Province is one of the 34 provinces of Afghanistan. Much of historic Badakhshan lies within Tajikistan's Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region in the southeastern part of the country. The music of Badakhshan is an important part of the region's cultural heritage.
Darvaz, alternatively Darwaz, Darvoz, or Darwoz, or the Darvaz Khanate was an independent Pamiri principality until 1878, ruled by a Mir and its capital was at Qal'ai Khumb. The principality controlled territory on the left and right banks of the Oxus River. The major settlements of Darvaz were Qal'ai Khumb and Kham.

Baharak is a small town and seat of Baharak District Badakhshan Province in north-eastern Afghanistan. It is roughly 15 kilometers from Jurm, on the Kokcha River. Baharak Girls' School was opened on December 17, 2006, by Munshi Abdul Majeed the Governor of Badakhshan Province, it serves about 3000 girls who attend in three separate shifts during the day.
Darayem is a village in Badakhshan Province in north-eastern Afghanistan.
Ishkashim is a border town in Badakhshan Province of Afghanistan, which has a population of around 12,120 people. The town serves as the capital of Ishkashim District. Another town by the same name is located on the other side of the Panj River in the Gorno-Badakhshan region of Tajikistan, although that town is normally transliterated Ishkoshim following Tajik practice. A bridge linking the two towns was reconstructed in 2006.
Khandud (Khandut) is a river valley in the Wakhan District of Badakhshan Province in north-eastern Afghanistan. The village of Khandud serves as the capital of Wakhan District, and is located near the left bank of the Panj River. It is connected by a road to Ishkashim in the southwest and Sarhad in the east.
Kurān wa Munjān, also spelled Kiran wa Munjan or Koran va Monjan, is a village in Badakhshan Province in north-eastern Afghanistan. It is the capital of Kuran wa Munjan District.
Qarabolaq or Qareh Bulaq is a small settlement in the Great Pamir in Wakhan District, Badakhshan Province, northeastern Afghanistan. It lies at an altitude of 4,139 m on the eastern shore of Zorkul lake, near the Afghan border with Tajikistan but also close to the Afghan borders with Pakistan and China.

Anjuman, also written Anjoman, is the name of a village in Badakhshan Province, Afghanistan. It lies within the Anjuman Valley, about 18 miles from the mouth of the valley. Another village, Anjuman-i-Khurd, lies close by. Around the turn of the 21st century, the village had 90 occupied residences, primarily Tajiks. The grazing in the area was good, and the inhabitants were a peaceful lot, and relatively poorly armed.
Fayzabad also spelled Feyzabad or Faizabad is a city in northeastern Afghanistan, with a population of around 39,555 people. It serves as the provincial capital and largest city of Badakhshan Province. It is situated in Fayzabad District and is at an altitude of 1,254 m (4,114 ft).
Raghistan is one of the 28 districts of Badakhshan Province in eastern Afghanistan. Located in the northwestern portion of the province, Ragh is home to approximately 44,004 residents. The capital city is Ziraki.
