Rahul Rajesh (born 1976 in Dumka, Jharkhand) is an Indian poet writing in Hindi and a translator. His poems and articles have been published in leading Hindi literary magazines and national dailies like Vaagartha, Gyanodaya, Hans, Kathaadesh, Bayaa, Aajkal, Samkaalin Bhaartiya Saahitya, Indian Literature (English), Saakshaatkaar, Vipaashaa, Saakshya, Doaabaa, Kaadambini, Akshar Parva, Pahal, Vasudha, Samved, Vartamaan Saahitya, Dastak, Kahan, Anoupcharika, Hindustaan, BBC Patrika, Jansattaa, Sahaaraa Samay, Prabhaat Khabar, Deshbandhu, Dainik Bhaaskar, Nai Duniya, Aaj, Ranchi Express and others.
His poems have also been translated into Marathi, Oriya, Punjabi and Urdu.
Basant Badal Deta Hai Muhavre (2011) is Rahul Rajesh's Hindi translation of Ankur Betageri's English Poems. Rahul Rajesh's first collection of poems Sirf Ghaas Nahi (2013) [1] was published recently by Sahitya Akademi, the National Academy of Letters, to much acclaim.[ citation needed ]
Hindi literature includes literature in the various Hindi languages which have different writing systems. Devanahalli Venkataramanaiah Gundappa, popularly known as DVG, was an Indian writer, poet and philosopher in Kannada-language. He is one of the stalwarts of modern Kannada literature. Chandrashekhara Basavanneppa Kambara is a prominent Indian poet, playwright, folklorist, film director in Kannada language and the founder-vice-chancellor of Kannada University in Hampi also president of the Sahitya Akademi, country's premier literary institution, after Vinayak Krishna Gokak (1983) and U.R. Ananthamurthy (1993). He is known for effective adaptation of the North Karnataka dialect of the Kannada language in his plays, and poems, in a similar style as in the works of D.R. Bendre.
Rajesh Joshi is a Hindi writer, poet, journalist and a playwright, who was the recipient of 2002 Sahitya Akademi Award in Hindi for his anthology of poems - 'Do Panktiyon Ke Beech', given by Sahitya Akademi, India's National Academy of Letters. Gulzar is an Indian Urdu poet, lyricist, author, screenwriter, and film director known for his works in Hindi cinema. He is regarded as one of greatest Urdu poets of this era. He started his career with music director S.D. Burman as a lyricist in the 1963 film Bandini and worked with many music directors including R. D. Burman, Salil Chowdhury, Vishal Bhardwaj and A. R. Rahman. Gulzar also writes poetry, dialogues and scripts. He directed films such as Aandhi and Mausam during the 1970s and the TV series Mirza Ghalib in the 1980s. He also directed Kirdaar in 1993.

Writer and Buddhist scholar Mahapandit Rahul Sankrityayan was born in Uttar Pradesh but spent his life in the land of Buddha, i.e., Bihar.
Shiv K. Kumar was an Indian English-language poet, playwright, novelist, and short story writer. His grandfather late Tulsi Das Kumar was a school teacher and his father Bishan Das Kumar, was a retired headmaster. The letter 'K' stands for Krishna, i.e. Shiv Krishna Kumar.

Shrilal Shukla was a Hindi writer, notable for his satire. He worked as a PCS officer for the state government of Uttar Pradesh, later inducted into the IAS. He has written over 25 books, including Raag Darbari, Makaan, Sooni Ghaati Ka Sooraj, Pehla Padaav and Bisrampur Ka Sant.
Gulshan Nanda born in Rawalpindi, British India was an Indian novelist and screenwriter. Many of his novels were adapted into Hindi films in the 1960s and 1970s, including more than a dozen big hits of the period — Kaajal (1965), Kati Patang (1970), Khilona (1970), Sharmeelee (1971) and Daag (1973). He frequently collaborated with Rajesh Khanna with films like Kati Patang, Daag, Ajanabee, Mehbooba and Nazrana. His stories encompassed a range of themes, from social issues and romance to action thrillers. He was nominated for the Filmfare Award for Best Story six times, for Kaajal (1965), Neel Kamal (1968), Khilona (1970), Kati Patang (1970), Naya Zamana (1971) and Mehbooba (1976). His sons Rahul and Himanshu Nanda are veteran publicity designers for Bollywood and conceived the concept of Akshay Kumar starrer, Patiala House (2011).

Ankur Betageri is an Indian poet, fiction writer, photographer and arts activist. He currently teaches English at Bharati College, University of Delhi. In 2012, he was named as one of the ten best writers in the country by the English daily Indian Express. He holds a master's in clinical psychology from Christ University, Bangalore. Betageri is also known for founding the public arts and activist platform, Hulchul, whose artistic interventions in reclaiming Public Spaces like public washrooms and roadside walls, and the use of art to transform the everyday urban life have been widely appreciated. As a poet he has represented India at The III International Delphic Games (2009) at Jeju, South Korea, and Lit Up Writers Festival (2010) at Singapore.
The Poetry Society (India) was formed in July 1984 at New Delhi as a voluntary association to promote Indian poetry and to look after the interests of Indian Poets. The founding members included the Indian poets Keshav Malik, J P Das, H K Kaul and Lakshmi Kannan. The Society conducts seminars, creative writing workshops, reading and publication of poetry journal and anthologies. It also conducts All India Poetry Competitions, including competitions among school children.

Sunita Jain (1941–2017) was an Indian scholar, novelist, short-story writer and poet of English and Hindi literature. She was a former professor and the Head of the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. She published over 80 books, in English and Hindi, besides translating many Jain writings and some Hindi literature into English. She is featured in the Encyclopedia of Post-Colonial Literatures in English and was a recipient of The Vreeland Award (1969) and the Marie Sandoz Prairie Schooner Fiction Award. The Government of India awarded her the fourth highest civilian honour of the Padma Shri in 2004. In 2015 she was awarded the Vyas Samman by the K.K. Birla foundation for outstanding literary work in Hindi. In 2015 she was awarded an honorary D.Litt. from the University of Burdhwan, West Bengal.
