Raised by Wolves is the debut EP by the indie rock band Voxtrot, released in 2005.
The title track of the EP was initially released as a 7" single by the Portland, Oregon-based independent label Magic Marker Records in 2005, featuring the b-side "They Never Mean What They Say". [3] It subsequently received a compact disc release by Cult Hero Records on July 25, 2005 as a complete EP, featuring a total of four tracks. [4]
Brian Howe of Pitchfork awarded the album a 7.8 out of 10 rating, [2] while Rob Bolton of Exclaim! called the EP "a superb debut release." [5] Tim Sendra of AllMusic awarded the EP four-and-a-half out of five stars, comparing it to the work of Belle and Sebastian, The Cure, and The Smiths, adding that it was "a pleasant and breezy introduction to a group for which indie pop fans should have high hopes." The Glow Pt. 2 is the third studio album by American indie folk and indie rock project the Microphones. It was released on September 11, 2001, through K Records and later through P.W. Elverum & Sun, Ltd. Recording was done on analog equipment at Dub Narcotic, Olympia, Washington, from May 2000 to March 2001. The album takes influences from numerous music genres such as black metal, ambient and avant-garde, as well as non-musical sources like the American drama television show Twin Peaks and primary member Phil Elverum's relationship to Khaela Maricich. Misty Medley is the second full-length album by the Montreal indie rock band Kiss Me Deadly, released in October 2005 by Alien8 Recordings. Working with The Besnard Lakes' Jace Lasek, the band included reworked versions of the four songs on their 2005 EP Amoureux Cosmiques that featured "breathy vocals, saturated pop tones and melodies motorized by punk", according to The Montreal Mirror. Misty Medley spent several weeks on the Canadian "National Campus Top 50 Chart" published by ChartAttack, debuting at #25. The band toured the U.S. the following year in support of the album, alongside Voxtrot and We Are Wolves. Critics particularly noted the four aptly-named "Dance" tracks, with "Dance 1" and "Dance 4" also proving to be the most popular with listeners.
