Rajula Annie Watson (nee Thomas) is a Theologian [3] who presently teaches [4] at the Karnataka Theological College, Mangalore, a Seminary established in 1965 [5] and affiliated to the nation's first [6] University, the Senate of Serampore College. Annie has been a member of the Association of Theologically Trained Women of India since 1991 [1] as well as Associate Presbyter [2] at CSI-Hebich Memorial Church, Mangalore.

In 2008, the Evangelical Mission in Solidarity, Stuttgart featured Annie in their journal darum-journal under the caption Kampf gegen die Erdewarmung. [7]

Studies

Annie studied bachelor's degree in theology at the United Theological College, Bangalore between 1987–1991 [8] where she obtained a Bachelor of Divinity [9] (B. D.) awarded by the Senate of Serampore College (University) under the Registrarship of D. S. Satyaranjan. She later studied for a doctorate [10] at the University of Regensburg at the Faculty of Philosophy obtaining a Doctorate of Philosophy (Dr. Phil.) where she was supervised by Prof. Hans Schwarz. [11]

Karnataka Theological College(founded in 1847) is an ecumenical seminary catering to the Kannada-speaking students wishing to pursue the priestly vocation. KTC is located in Mangalore of Karnataka in South India, and is affiliated to the nation's first University, the Senate of Serampore College.

Evangeline Anderson-Rajkumar is a feminist activist ecumenical theologian who taught at Serampore College, Serampore (1990-1994) the United Theological College, Bangalore, (1999-2014). Evangeline Anderson-Rajkumar was the first permanent woman faculty to serve as faculty in the Theology Department of the renowned Serampore College, founded by William Carey when he came to India in 1792. She was the first Lutheran Woman to serve as first Vice President of the United Evangelical Lutheran Churches in India in 2006. She comes from a family of theologians - about 17 of them, her father, all eight siblings, and seven of the eight who married into the family. Evangeline Anderson-Rajkumar served as the President of the Association of Theologically Trained Women of India (ATTWI) and is a sought after resource person on Body Theology.

C. L. Furtado is CSI-Bishop Emeritus - in - Karnataka Southern of Church of South India. Furtado became the third Bishop on 25 August 1997, the date on which he was consecrated as Bishop in the diocese that is headquartered in Mangalore with the Cathedra of the Bishop placed at CSI-Shanthi Cathedral, Mangalore.

S. R. Furtado(April 25, 1912 – November 4, 1995) was the first Bishop - in - Karnataka Southern Diocese of Church of South India headquartered in Mangalore.

Hannibal Richard Cabral(Born 1955) was the former Principal of Karnataka Theological College, Mangalore, a Seminary established in 1965 and affiliated to the nation's first University, the Senate of Serampore College (University). Cabral was appointed by the College Council as Principal in 2009 as John Sadananda, then Principal, was elevated to the Bishopric of the Karnataka Southern Diocese of the Church of South India.

D. I. Hans is a Religions Scholar who researched on Vijayanagara literature in Kannada, especially the Veerashaiva writings with special reference to Basavanna. Hans used Historical criticism to study Basavanna's ethical teachings. As a Veerashaiva Scholar, Hans also prepared a bibliography on the existing Veerashaiva literature available in some of the Languages of India, namely, Sanskrit, Hindi, Marathi, Urdu, Telugu and Tamil.

Graham Basanti a.k.a. M. G. Basanti is a Silver jubilee Woman priest and the first Ordinand from the Protestant Jeypore Evangelical Lutheran Church Society (JELC), headquartered in Jeypore, Odisha, India. She was in the forefront of JELC leadership, representing it at United Evangelical Lutheran Churches in India in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Basanti has been a founding member of Association of Theologically Trained Women of India (ATTWI), and was also elected to its Executive Committee for the bienniums 1979-1981 and 2002-2006. Basanti has also been associated with National Council of Churches in India.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">G. D. Melanchthon</span>

G. D. Melanchthon (1934–1994) was a Silver Jubilee Priest hailing from Protestant Andhra Evangelical Lutheran Church Society who taught Religions, at United Theological College, Bangalore from 1968 till the latter half of eighties until his career was brought to an abrupt end in 1988 on being stricken with paralysis. Melanchthon used to be quite active among the academic community along with Chrysostom Arangaden, Arvind P. Nirmal and others in not only delivering scholarly talks, but also in contributing research articles and reviewing new titles.
