Ramachandran Durairaj is an Indian actor who has appeared in Tamil language films. After working as an associate director, he made his breakthrough as an actor with a leading role in Suseenthiran's Naan Mahaan Alla (2010). He later won acclaim for playing a leading role in Gopi Nainar's Aramm (2017). [1] [2] [3]
Ramachandran moved to Chennai from Theni in 2000 and alongside his day job, he had a keen interest in photography. He became acquainted with director S. R. Prabhakaran and through their association, he became interested in working in the Tamil film industry as a cinematographer. He however began working as an assistant director in the television series Kolangal , and subsequently networked his way into appearing in acting roles in films. [4] [5] He briefly worked as Vijay Milton's assistant cinematographer in Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu (2009), before playing a key role in Suseenthiran's Naan Mahaan Alla (2010), as an antagonist. [6] In 2014, Ramachandran appeared in two films which garnered him attention. Karthik Subbaraj's Jigarthanda and H. Vinoth's Sathuranga Vettai both saw the actor playing a henchman, who moves away from his violent personality. [7]
His friendship with director Gopi Nainar meant that he was cast in the social drama film Aramm (2017), which had Nayanthara in the lead role. Ramachandran played the secondary lead character of a farmer whose daughter becomes stuck in an uncovered well, and paired opposite actress Sunu Lakshmi. [8] The film won critical acclaim, with Ramachandran winning acclaim from critics for his performance. [9] [10] [11]

Karthi was born as Karthik Sivakumar on 25 May 1977 in Madras, Tamil Nadu, India to actor Sivakumar and his wife Lakshmi. He completed his elementary and secondary school education at Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan and St. Bede's Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School, Chennai. He gained a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Crescent Engineering College, Chennai. After graduation, he worked as an Engineering consultant in Chennai and considered higher studies abroad. "I was earning about ₹ 5000 per month and found the work monotonous. That was when I thought, I should do something more", he recalled in an interview. Karthi got a scholarship for his higher studies in the United States, and enrolled at Binghamton University, New York, where he earned his Master of Science in industrial engineering. While pursuing his master's degree, he also took elective courses on filmmaking.
Naan Mahaan Alla is a 1984 Indian Tamil-language action film directed by S. P. Muthuraman. The film stars Rajinikanth, Radha and M. N. Nambiar. It is a remake of the Hindi film Vishwanath (1978). The film was released on 14 January 1984, Pongal day and emerged a commercial success.

V. Jayaprakash is an Indian actor and producer who works in Tamil and Telugu films. The story revolves around the issue of land grabbing and how the protagonist becomes involved in it. The film was also dubbed into Telugu and was released as Veedinthe on 30 December 2011 and into Hindi as Main Hoon Dada No.1 in 2013.
